I was having a hard time accepting the condition of the laptop dings, scratches size of the screen. But after checking with the pro of IT, I learned that what I have was worth the price. The function is outstanding and that matter more than the dings and scratches. so, after 2 days of debating, I decided to keep it and placed 2-year protection plan with Asurion. so, I believe is a win, win. This laptop just keeps doing this.. shutts off all of a sudden without notice and keeps restarting, i bought a program and a license for laptop and lost it cause people from program says cant use in another laptop !!! 😡😡😡 just buy a original

    • Good for price, but my speaker make a cracking sound
Update: I had to return the computer because it would spontaneously give a blue screen of death and restart. I tried "restarting" and even reinstalling windows from the image on the hard drive but none of this worked. I suspect that I either have a faulty image of windows or there is a physical issue on the motherboard. Never-the-less, I am returning it. Original post: I will start off by saying this is a good deal. I would have given 5 starts but I noticed that the sound coming from the speakers creates a cracking sound. Even when I plugged my headphones into the jack, the same sound is still cracking. Now if I use my Bluetooth headphones, the cracking sound goes away. I suspect that the actual hardwire [whether specific to the motherboard or to the actual wires going to the speaker/headphone jack] is faulty. The inspection sheet that comes with the computer had the speaker labeled as "Pass" but I suspect the quality control for the sounds is 'if you can hear sound', which of course you can but the sound certainly not good. Also, the description on the site says this computer was labeled as "Excellent Condition." I know that I won't be able to use to the speaker or headphone jack, for that matter, for sounds related things but luckily Bluetooth technology exists. Additionally, the bezel around the bottom part of the screen is slightly warped and you can tell from more than 12 inches away that it is cosmetically misshapen, despite the disclaimer on the item description being: "This product is in "Excellent condition". The screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away." Apart from that, I do like the computer and the rest of it functions as advertised. ... show more

    • Lenovo is not a good brand
Third Lenovo laptop to have a the backlight die in less than 2 weeks of use. Thinkpad used to be a great brand. Sad to say that it is now the worst of the big 4 laptop manufacturers. I won't buy another.

It was perfect. Everything i wanted, and only $300. But out of nowhere everything would turn off, and it would take several tries to get it to turn back on. It happened several times, and then it turned on and told me i needed to factory reset it. So i did. Next day it worked fine, until it black screened again, and then i couldnt turn it on. Other than that, screen worked, no scratches, batter was eh but its cheap to replace, stylus worked, keyboard worked. But keep in mind, theyre all different, so its just a chance you have to take. ... show more
