    • A very good deal for Geeks
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
I am a newer ThinkPad aficionado and I am learning as I go - I am also coming from an E series - but I've used a lot of laptops in my life and in this price group, this is one of the most solid pieces of hardware I've ever encountered. The keys are good, the screen is decent and I like the placement of the touchpad (I use it mostly for scrolling). Funnily enough, I am wildly impressed by the hinges. I never paid much attention in the past, but now I will. I've had hinges be a main failure point on other brands and that is simply not a worry here. My E series failed due to a known issue with the charging port and since it was also bargain refurb, just buying another seemed sensible and I decided to give the elevated model a chance since the price was basically the same. This is a mighty step up from the E series. The CPU/GPU/RAM aren't really where the differences are, that's all "as expected"; it's a lower-mid-range CPU/GPU that actually packs a punch and has enough RAM to do 99% of productivity tasks with no issue and while you won't be playing today's AAA titles, the adjustable DMA for the GPU does allow for light gaming. What really separates this L series from my previous E series is the aforementioned solidness, and by that I mean it could be used effectively in self defense while the E series would be a distraction at best. So, if you're a geek in league for an affordable and fully functional laptop for tinkering with code and often find yourself playing 20+ year old MMOs and select boomershooters from yesteryear, this is a great option. ... show more

    • Good value laptop
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
Been using the laptop for about a year now. Still boots up very quickly. Good specs and performs better than I expected. I can stream shows, work on projects and can do just about anything I can do on my desktop. Good laptop for its price

    • Poor refurbishment
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
Laptop stopped being able to charge after a few months of using it. Brought it to a repair shop and apparently whoever is in charge of "refurbishment" left a bunch of melted metal in the charging port which heated up after each use further damaging it and bending the pins costing me an additional $160 to get it fixed, cannot return as the window has closed.Would not buy again. ... show more

    • Good buy
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
So far so good. The display has a noticeable flicker that I am going to see if a newer driver will solve or setting changes but other than that the laptop is in pristine condition. Lenovo is one of the better business class laptops and they haven’t veered away from the quality that was true of IBM.

    • They delivered as promised
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
I was nervous buying from a 3rd party seller, but they delivered exactly what was promised. Everything worked as advertised (so far) and the laptop had very little wear and no damage. The USB port is loose but still works.

    • The refurb solution was a good one!
Hard Disk Size: 256 GB RAM Memory Size: 16.0 GB
I bought this refurbished laptop as a backup, in case my regular Lenovo had a problem. Lucky I did! A month later, my regular laptop died, and I was saved by this low-cost stopgap that let me keep working while I researched and bought a new one. I was also impressed by its condition and packing; much better than I expected for a refurbished unit. ... show more
