I like it, I always used Lenovo, usually after heavy use, the hinges that connect the screen to the keyboard break. This one is more rugged built and the hinges seem better design. Love the backlit keyboard, the fingerprint reader is actually also the power button. Great touch screen. Full keyboard with numerical pad. One issue to know, on the lowest row of keys, the last two on the left seem reversed from other laptops that i used. The function and the Cntrl key. I am used to the last key on the left being the Cntrl key and next to it the Fn key, on this laptop they are reversed. If you are a keyboard junkie like me (meaning you use your keyboard for many functions on the laptop, it can be aggravating, because I use the Cntrl key for many thngs. However, I did some research and was able to switch the functions of the keys after downloading Microsoft Power Toys from the Microsoft Store. it allows to re-assign the funtions. I was concerned originally reading these reviews, about the laptop being for another region. The laptop arrived in great condition and new in box. I took it out and it has worked perfectly since day one. I ran all windows updates, updates bios, and adjusted the region time and things work perfectly. I'll start with the bad stuff first. Two days after my return window closed, the charger for this laptop stopped working. I was worried it was the computer's hardware, but after some testing, I bought a new charger for $50. Other points - the battery life could be better on the base battery. I get 4 hours on a charge. Also, be aware of the screen brightness. The screen is very hard to read in high-light environments. See if you can get the upgraded screen. It's worth the extra money for a higher resolution and max brightness. That said, I use this laptop for legal work that requires a lot of screen real estate and RAM for multitasking. I also do light gaming; this laptop has been a champ. Make sure to allocate RAM to graphics. I still saved money over other laptops because this is an excellent power-for-cash value. Just be aware that the build quality of the accessories may not be up to par with that of other manufacturers. Cheers. ... show more

I rarely write reviews but this is the worst laptop I've ever purchased, and I have a ton of them. I bought it because it has a tough exterior and is good for traveling around, and that is still true. But whatever software Lenovo installed is horrendous. I've had to factory reset this computer multiple times!!! when Windows updates create some sort of configuration problem due to whatever is installed on this machine - and mind you, this is on a nearly blank device that is used only for work! I've never had this sort of trouble with any other computer, much less one with so little installed. Finally, I tried updating the Lenovo software... and it promptly erased my local user. All my settings, configs: gone. I wish I could return this lemon but the first time it pulled this stunt was past the incredibly short return window. It's happened several times since then. If I didn't need to have an extra work laptop I'd junk it. Regardless, this review will likely get lost in a sea of AI-generated 5-stars, and/or the seller will just cancel this product and start selling it again under a different listing. It's very frustrating but I still felt the need to scream into the wind. At a minimum, I'll never buy another Lenovo product, and probably not another laptop off Amazon. Oh and the whole "we put the Fn key where the Ctl key should be" thing really is as annoying as you think. I can't believe they still sell laptops that way. ... show more

Say what you want about the E series of old purists, but this laptop feels solid. It’s of course no frills, but checks all the right boxes for a daily Citrix machine. It runs flawlessly, gets about 8 hours of battery life on balanced mode. The screen is bright enough and crisp to view in spite of being lo res compared to my last. I’d recommend this to anyone seeking a value based laptop. First impression is that this thing will hold up well for years to come. Beautiful, fast, great keyboard, exactly what I was looking for! My eyes are getting old and tired, so my little 14" Lenovo ThinkPad was too hard to see. This big boy is exactly that computer, only faster and bigger, with a numeric keypad. (Which is an annoyance to me, but oh well.) Home/End/PgUp/PgDn keys that don't need you to hit Fn first; great keyboard feel, and quiet as can be. Unfortunately, it comes with Win11, but they tell me I can "downgrade" to the superior Win10 with no trouble. Installing updates now, I might play with Win11 awhile, but I've already determined the things I use most have been deleted, and I'm not interested in playing Microsoft's marketing games. One of these days, all Linux all the time. For now, Win10 works. :) Update: Used Win11 for a few weeks, and I could stand it, but only barely. On Win10, this laptop sings beautifully! ... show more

I use my laptop as a desktop mostly and it has been running pretty much 24/7 for a couple of years with no issues. I use an external mouse and a 40" screen on the desk with great results. The touch-pad works good but I mostly use my wireless mouse except for short periods traveling. The unit keyboard is very nice, has a good feel and is enjoyable to work on when not at the office.
