Build quality is good for a budget laptop. Speed is adequate, the soldered RAM and inability to use fingerprint reader with Linux seem to be a Gen1 issue that will cause a lot of returns. I would not recommend this, but I would recommend a later version like Gen 6. No soldered Ram and fingerprint reader works with Linux ... show more

Overall, this laptop is a good deal at a good price, but I ran into issues after buying 12 of them. First off, we reimaged all of the laptops with a fresh copy of Windows 11. Every single one of them wanted a windows installation key. We had to use our volume license key to activate them. This laptop should have come with a digital embedded key. Second, several users run meetings off of the laptop. The mic volume is so low, it makes them almost unusable without an external microphone plugged in. This might be the deal breaker for me. I tried all sorts of drivers and boosted the mic volume with special software to get them usable. As others have stated in their reviews, these laptops are from India. I will not be buying anymore of these from this seller for business use. ... show more

Purchased a few of these, we always relead with fresh copies of Win 11 pro to remove bloatware for a clean install. When we did this for these units all of them asked for a Win 11 pro key...which shouldn't happen as the keys should be embedded. Thought it was our bootable media and re-loaded again...same thing. Called Lenovo US Support and they stated they couldn't find the serial #'s in their system. They were able to track the devices down as originating from India. Lenovo support said they wouldn't trust those devices and I agreed with them. Shipped all back to seller and will never be buying from them again...who knows what was installed on these originally...too much of a security risk. ... show more
