My first laptop ever. I never wanted to buy a laptop due to price, limited upgrade options & less performance compared to desktops. I already have a gaming desktop build in my room, but wanted play games in the sitting room where my kids always hang around. So, laptop was the only option. Initially wanted a lower mid tier system with a RTX 5060 but then read about the vram limitations for future games. And so I went with this RTX 5070 Ti. I’m honestly glade that this system didn’t come with the higher tier 275HX. Because that thing runs so much hotter. And the CPU performance between this is around 10%. I have fully updated the system and drivers. I was most scared when updating the BIOS, but it also went super smoothly. All the updates were done with the pre-installed Lenovo Vantage /Space app. First game I installed was Clair Obscur. The game runs so smoothly at max settings! I paired this laptop with a llano V12 cooler. CPU stays in the 70s and the GPU below 70c. This is my first OLED / higher refresh rate screen and it’s beautiful. Sharp and colorful. Battery life is not an issue for me as I always play with it plugged in. Battery drains fast if kept unplugged. Price was around $1800, which is fair for a 5070Ti, 32GB Ram and 2TB Samsung SSD. Noise level is not an issue for me while gaming. It has some weight to it but nothing to complain about. Honestly it’s the power brick that noticeably heavy as it’s 400W. It’s big. So in conclusion, I’m really happy with the purchase and it’s performance. RGBs look beautiful. Build quality is great. My only complaint is that the free Resident Evil Requim nVidia code kept giving me “required hardware not met” message. Tried all the recommended stuffs but didn’t work so I gave up on it. ... show more

    • If you add a second SSD that's not recognized, try swapping slots

One strange issue I ran into is when I went to add a 2nd SSD drive - it wasn't recognized by the BIOS nor Windows. After doing some searching online, the fix was to swap the slots, switching the original SSD to the 2nd M.2 slot and the new to the 1st. You can then change the boot load order in BIOS. Build quality seems solid. The lid opens/closes without bouncing around due to stable hinges and the weight of the base which helps hold the laptop in place. A bit daunting at first to disassemble when upgrading/replacing battery, but it's not difficult. Be sure to have a quality set of assorted precision screwdrivers. The black chassis gets smudgy easily even with clean hands. Keyboard has nice tactile feel. Nice layout - not cramped or oddly arranged. The backlight is especially helpful. I'm not a huge fan of RGB, but the colors on this really pop. It looks very nice! Custom-configurable in software, too. The Lenovo pre-installed software is very helpful in checking for and installing driver updates, BIOS firmware, etc. It's not overly intrusive or gimmicky. McAfee software was not desired but it was simple to uninstall. Weight is not as bad as expected. I've owned prior gaming laptops, which were much clunkier. This fits nicely in a standard 16" laptop carry case and doesn't feel like a workout to transport. Performance is solid. I leave mine on 'balanced' and opt not to push the wattages/temps. It handles like a champ. Have only used it for about a month now and will update this if issues arise. Recommended. ... show more

Now I mean this in the most professional way, but this laptop is SEXY. Down to the gorgeous RGBs, to the 240hz refresh rate and not to mention the OLED screen and the RTX5070ti, MMMM 🤤, its everything you could ever want in a portable powerhouse! And this is coming from someone who had a Lenovo Legion Pro 3 with a RTX3070. After playing a few games at max settings with ray tracing enabled, I just can't go back. Ive tested Outlast Trails with max settings and ray tracing enabled and Dx12 and maintained 114fps with 84fps as my 1% lows, Dead By Daylight with max settings and it maintained 120fps constantly, Fortnite at max setting with global illumination on DX12 and stayed in the 59fps range with 42fps as my 1% low, but that was on DX12 and isn't really stable. But I could not be happier with this absolute beast. Lenovo Legions are just unmatched in the gaming community The only con and I mean ONLY thing that would have made this perfect is some kind of anti glare screen. My legion 3 had ine and this doesn't, but its not a deal breaker buy any means ... show more

Seems like a nice laptop but arrived with a damaged screen. Notice the rusty blotch on the right side of the screen. Notice visible damage on any of the packaging so might just be bad QC.

If I could marry this machine, I would. It’s absolutely amazing. I love it. I couldn’t ask for more. I got the Ultra 7 255HX, 5070 TI, 32GB ram 6400, 2 TB SSD. It’s playing kingdom come deliverance 2 on 1440p ultra settings 85+ FPS and GPU staying around 71 degrees even after hours. It’s an incredible machine and looks and feels amazing. I got it for $1900 which is amazing value for this config and this specific model, which tends to outperform identical specs in other models, such as HP omen. ... show more
