  • Powerful and Fast
Style: Legion Pro 7i - Core Ultra 7 - 1TB
No clue what's up with the pricing on this laptop currently but I got it before the price hike and for what I paid I'm beyond happy with it. The laptop is phenomenal in almost every aspect. Metal lid. Metal bottom plate. Vapor chamber. OLED screen with high refresh rate. Every single game runs buttery smooth at 1600p ultra settings. Every. Single. One. Now, let's talk about a few things: 1. The laptop is fairly heavy. It's nearly 6lb by itself before factoring in the fairly chonky 400w power supply. 2. This thing is fingerprint magnet. Specifically on the metallic surfaces. Track pad and keyboard keys also pick up finger oils a bit too well so you'll be cleaning them a fair bit if you use them. 3. The 5070ti 12GB is a beast, even in its laptop form, and it stays very cool in this machine. I have seen no higher then 65C on the GPU and 72C on the vram. Zero concerns about GPU failure on this machine. I would even pick this mobile GPU over the 5080 unless you absolutely need 16gb vram for whatever reason. The 12GB for the 5070ti is plenty for 1600p gaming and has yet to show any form of a bottleneck. 4. The Ultra 7 255HX is a beast of a mobile CPU. 20-core 20-thread. That said, it can run a bit hot. Especially before the newest BIOS update. It's factory max operating temp from Intel is 105C. I have not seen it hit that in this machine but I have seen it fondle 100C when it boosts to max clock. This is completely normal. To give some more context as to why...I only run this laptop in the Auto mode and while gaming (Last Epoch in my case) for 4 hours straight, as one does, the recorded percentage of time my CPU hit thermal throttle was 1%. This is on the current BIOS. On the previous version the CPU would hit 104C up to 30% of the time in the same time span. No clue what Lenovo did but it worked. I know I could make a custom power profile in Legion Space to further improve this if I really wanted to but I don't. Modern CPUs aren't known for frying themselves. Thats more of a GPU concern which as stated previously is not at all on my mind with this laptop. 5. The vapor chamber is awesome and definitely does a far superior job at cooling compared to traditional heat pipes. It also has a triple fan setup that thus far has worked flawlessly. It's silent when doing every day tasks and fans do ramp up when doing more demanding things but I wouldn't say they are annoyingly loud. They definitely do not have the typical higher pitch gaming laptop fan sound. Instead these sort of sound like when you halfway roll down your car window while driving on the highway. A lot of air being pushed. Lol idk how to properly describe it. Just know it's not at all bad. This laptop does NOT use liquid metal on either the CPU or GPU. Instead Lenovo uses an in-house "PTM7958" for both. The CPU side of the vapor chamber does have the liquid metal foam enclosure/dam for if you really wanted to put it on there. I wouldn't personally. 6. The display is beautiful. Nothing really beats an OLED. Especially not a high refresh rate one with G-Sync. I still have concerns about burn-in over time but that's an issue for a few years down the line. The display is incredibly responsive and gets very bright. It can also go pretty dim for those late night sessions. 7. Battery is actually pretty good when doing normal stuff. I'm seeing around 5 hours when working on an excel sheet. I've tried some lighter gaming on battery alone (MTG Arena) and got about 2 hours. Definitely disable the rapid charging thing if you want this battery to last any amount of time. The laptop will be plugged in most of the time as it is. Kind of silly to lessen its life to charge it so quick. 8. The wifi chip in here is FAST. I have gig internet with a Wifi7 router and regularly see around 900mbps download on WiFi. Bluetooth has also been phenomenal with zero disconnects. If you're considering it, do it. I really can't say enough good things about this laptop. It's awesome. I'd easily recommend it over any other gaming laptop with similar/same specs. ... show more

Very nice laptop. It stays cool and is very quiet when not gaming. It is heavy though and I really feel the weight on my legs after awhile.

Style: Legion Pro 7i - Core Ultra 7 - 1TB
First things first, based on the serial and product number looked up on lenovo site, this product with it's current configuration is a Lenovo Legion 7, not a 7i as presented here. Although it does support AI with it's own AI NPU and sports a RTX 5070Ti, Core Ultra 7 255HX, it is most certainly not a 7i model. However and as far as heat level, it keeps itself very cool (3-fan vapor chamber cooling) and depending on load, the noise level can sound similar to a jet engine. Keyboard quality is top notch however, the keys can be a bit noisy (sort of tactile if you will) depending on how hard a user pounds on them (a macbook pro keyboard is much quieter). Display brightness is very bright, vibrant, colorful and the OLED motion clarity is great. It will play heavily modded skyrim lists, cyberpunk 2077 (modded or not) easily. A modded list for Starfield also plays well on this. Wifi connectivity is great although I don't use it often but when I do, it's solid. ... show more
