The 13900HX is a very powerful mobile processor. Coupled with 64GB RAM, 2GB SSD and an nVidia 4070 GPU this makes for a capable and versatile machine. It's not particularly small or light but I wouldn't expect that with these features. I use a laptop for music production, video editing and 3D CAD and for those purposes it excels. I'm not a gamer but for around $2k this represents very good value for money. I'm happy with my purchase. I was even happier after I figured out how to disable to flashing multicolor lights under the keyboard 😂 ... show more

    • Abysmal Build Quality and Turnaround Time

Edit 9/14/2025: The keyboard broke again, and the best thing Lenovo support told me to do was to reinstall Windows. I did that and installed all the drivers necessary. Now the computer bluescreens every time I restart. Horrible product, dropping the rating down to 1*. Edit (1/6/25): Lenovo warranty properly fixed the laptop (for now) within 5 days of shipping it to them, so I bumped up the rating to 3*. Fingers crossed, I hope this laptop lasts. I'll still be wary of purchasing from Lenovo, and would advise getting some type of warranty just in case. I bought this laptop thinking that it was going to last me a few years at least. It didn't even last a year. One day, it suddenly shut off and didn't turn on. There were no drops, no spills, no damage. I took it to a repair shop. Apparently the issue was with the *motherboard*. I sent it in to Lenovo's Repair Depot. They told me it would take 7-10 business days, not counting any potential delays. This computer was my primary Windows device - I need it back pretty fast, and taking more than a week long to fix a faulty device at a repair depot is unacceptable. Love it! Love it! Bought this laptop to game when bedridden. Played 4 hours of D4 (Nvidia reflex off) with it on my lap and it stayed cool the entire time. Game play and cut scenes were awesome. Since it is widescreen the keyboard is wide and has nicely placed keys. Thumbs up all around.

    • Great while it lasts... which for me was about a week.

After a long time and lots of deliberation, I decided on the Lenovo Legion for a dedicated gaming laptop. Coming in at around 2,000, I had high expectations for its function and longevity. I was thrilled when I received it: it is a beautiful machine, and I was able to quickly start gaming on it. My wife was so jealous watching me that I wound up purchasing a significantly cheaper HP Victus so we could game together. However, about a week after it arrived, suddenly the screen when blank upon startup and never came back on. I was shocked, but thought it was some kind of fluke. Apparently, this is a known issue wit the legion. I contacted Lenovo, upgraded my warranty, and waited for someone to contact me. First, they sent me mailing materials and told me my computer would be gone for about a month. It took me three days to contact them and remind them that I had on-site repair as part of my warranty that I'd paid extra for. They assured me that on-site repairs would be completed once they had a part. First, the window they provide for when service might happen on a given day is between 8am-5pm. Oof. But I really wanted my machine running again, so I agreed to a long string of appointments that did not wind up happening because the part they'd overnighted didn't arrive for over a week. They kept scheduling me for the next day, leaving me to rearrange my schedule each time (even once saying they'd be there within the hour and then not turning up). Eventually, they located a part and came by, but it must not have been the correct part. The technician just left my house saying he'd need another part to complete the job. He said this was not the first, second, or third time he's encountered this problem. A browse on Reddit confirms this. At several points, I was encouraged to return and exchange the computer through amazon, I think in an attempt to save Lenovo time, labor, and money. I found this unsatisfying, since I had no faith that if I got another Lenovo Legion it wouldn't have the same issue down the line. But now I'm uncertain I have confidence in Lenovo to resolve this and I'm watching my return window close. What a nightmare! This was a big purchase for me, and I trusted Lenovo and had good faith in their brand. Meanwhile, my wife's 600 dollar HP is still going strong and I'm watching her play the games I love... My advice is either seek a different laptop and brand, or to be sure to get lots of protections and extend the warranty. This isn't a safe bet for those of us who don't usually drop 2,000 on a whim. ... show more

It was an error to buy this product from Amazon and Lenovo! Don’t do it. I bought this computer from Amazon, showing the store as Lenovo in October 2024. In November the product starts to show the “screen of death” and turn off alone, as I was outside the country I sent it to the support team in January. The product came worse and now it doesn’t work at all. I have tried since so to contact manufacturer and Amazon to try a return/refund. Lenovo says that doesn’t cover return and Amazon throws me in a loop and I can’t contact the seller. It is a nightmare buying a product of this price and have to settle with it, just don’t buy it and know that you won’t have the right of return it if it has all these problems ... show more
