The laptop I received is a Lenovo Ideapad 3 14IIL05, machine type 81WD. Introduced in year 2021. Being a laptop, not a tablet, know that it comes without a touch screen. It came with SSD memory storage, a trial period of Microsoft 365 (Office), and with Windows 10 S installed. Removing the Windows “S” restriction from the operating system is a simple, quick process (find the instructions online). After that I upgraded the operating system from Windows 10 to Windows 11, a free download still available at Microsoft.com. The upgrade was easy, though it takes longer than the S change, and went without any problem. If, like me, you remove Microsoft 365 Trial and then install the stand-alone MS Office 2021—know that it installs without any problem (and you avoid any future annual payments to Microsoft). If 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD memory will meet your needs, the under-$200 price of this Lenovo Ideapad 3 will be good for you. Purchased this for some light business work for my girlfriend. Looked at a ton of reviews, all positive. Saw lots of great guides on adding RAM to these little machines, so for under $300, thought that was great. Turns out, Lenovo has changed motherboards and now where the ram slot was, is another location for soldered on ram. The computer is so slow and doesn't have enough memory to operate chrome efficiently, it's less useful than a chromebook at 2x the price and now there is no fix for it.
