  • Perfect Home Connectivity Tool for the Pandemic
Style: Windows 10
I'd had a Lenovo AIO since early 2016 that was suffering under the twin strains of old age and constant Zoom meetings. There's a huge range of prices and features among available AIOs and much better screen/hard drive options than there was in '16. I wound up paying less than I had then while picking up the three things most important to me: a solid-state drive (to increase retrieval speed and eliminate machine noise during video conferences), the AMD Ryzen 5 processor, and lots of RAM. Another plus is the built-in DVD drive. The new Lenovo is terrific: fast, quiet, and up to all of the general productivity, light graphics and data processing tasks I require. The touch screen is crisp and clear. The camera, located at the top center of the bezel, is not the best, but it's fine for 1080p and lower levels of resolution. Low-light photography is acceptable (in addition to video calls, I use this camera to record television press interviews; commercial stations have been satisfied with the quality). I also appreciate the physical lens blocker built into the housing of the computer. I swapped the corded keyboard and mouse for cordless models -- a big reason to have an AIO is to reduce cable clutter -- but noted during setup that both were precise and the keyboard is clicky, a pleasure to type on. Packaging is minimal and operation couldn't be easier; I was up and running within minutes of taking the machine out of its box. The stand, a curved metal tube, it elegant and minimal. I've seen some users complain that the stand doesn't keep the screen straight: I've had no such problems. All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with the computer, it's a terrific value. ... show more

  • Save yourself some headache!
Style: 16GB RAM & 256GB SSD
I am giving this item a zero star as it neglected to inform in description that the processor is old. This item is not capable of managing workspaces. Purchased for remote work. I now understand why it is frequently returned. In addition to lack of being useful for remote work, I was assessed a 41.00 return fee. Shameful when you have already paid for shipping and handling. Shame on the seller and Amazon. That was an expensive box. That is the only thing that was missing. To think I spent money to make sure that all components were securely bundled and cushioned so damage was avoided in the return. I was looking for a replacement on here, but upon seeing the deduction for return, I will give my money to a brick and mortar. This wasn't worth the headache created. Thanks Amazon, you keep reminding me why I don't need to give you my business. ... show more

  • STAY AWAY!!! SELLING JUNK ONLY TO CHARGE A "RETURN FEE"
Style: 16GB RAM & 256GB SSD
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! They sold junk! probably a refurb and disguised it as new. The one they sold me took 15 seconds to see the letter you entered before you could put in the next letter. I called and performed the "fixes / solutions" to no avail. I spent hours with this computer to no resolution. I returned it and they charged me an $81 "RETURN FEE". Its probably what they paid for the junk. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. ... show more

  • A terrible computer and a total waste of time and money
Style: 16GB RAM & 256GB SSD
The Lenovo name usually is associated with the old IBM high-quality computers, but this piece of garbage is a shoddy, made-in-Mexico waste of time and money. It didn't work properly out of the box, and I kept throwing parts at it, hoping that I could make it work. I bought a new data cable, a WiFi antenna, and even a new monitor, and it still kept dropping the signal. And, it was soooo slow! Save yourself some grief. Do NOT buy this computer. ... show more

  • Everything is Awesome... except the camera
Style: Windows 10
It is hard to wrap my brain around just how awesome this computer is in every single facet except the camera. First, you just can't beat the specs at the Black Friday price point of $600: 16 GB of ram, Ryzen 5 processor, and a 550+ ssd. This thing is wicked fast! We live in a 100 year old stone house. I have a Google Mesh Wifi running with the closest router a floor below. This computer gets about 400 upload and download; my previous laptop only was 80! With all of that said, if you're like me and working through Zoom from home, the camera just isn't usable. It is almost like trying to watch TV back in the days when you'd have to manually adjust antennas. I tried playing around with the settings but nothing works. I will keep the computer for everything else it offers, but as a teacher, will need to upgrade to a better camera. Oh, the wired mouse and keyboard, as others have mentioned, takes away from the clean nature of the all in one. I don't mind the keyboard being wired since it hardly moves. But would definitely recommend buying yourself a wireless mouse. They are cheap enuff ... show more
