I recently found myself in need of a computer of my own (due to beginning a new job) and came across many of these different models and makes of refurbished laptops. I owned a Lenovo Flex7 in the past, destroyed by my Sister's boyfriend, and had been relying on company-provided laptops since 2020. I found this Lenovo Flex5 and figured why not buy refurbished, coming with a guarantee from both Amazon and the Vendor, with the worst case scenario requiring me to send it back for a full refund. One day after ordering, I received the laptop and began to set it up. It looked brand new, performed like I was the 1st owner, and used Windows 11 (of which I have been fully satisfied with). I have had no issues with the computer, it is faster than any of the previous computers I have ever had, and is covered with the warranty I bought from Amazon. After this great experience, I doubt I will ever buy anything but refurbished computers, possibly all refurbished electronics from this point. Ultimately, this is the best purchase I could have made for a "new" computer and have been 100%+ satisfied with its physical appearance, operating capabilities, and the vendor's attention to detail in resetting the machine (and sending it with only original manufacturer parts). If you need a new computer, this is your best solution! Additionally, its actual manufacture date is 5/24/2022, making it barely one year old on the day of purchase!!! ... show more

I’m leaving my original review as it is but am adding to it. No sooner than I sent in my review, I started having issues with the laptop. I had been working on a project, and saw a notification that the computer needed to restart to install updates. No big deal. Well, when it restarted, it gave me error messages that it could not log me in to my Microsoft account, and it will not even open Edge, and I can’t seem to install another browser either. Basically can’t do anything at all. I contacted Amazon customer service, who directed me to contact the seller. I am now waiting on seller to respond (I’ve been waiting over 24hrs for a response now) and I’m getting more and more irritated with each hour that I don’t get a response. I hope they see this, and I hope it lights a fire under their butts to respond. I’m missing out on income due to this issue, which I won’t be able to recoup. So far I’ve missed out on about $300, which may not sound like much, but it is when you don’t have any help! Anyway, I digress. SELLER: please get this fixed! I’m so glad I waited for a good deal on one of these to come around! So far, this laptop is everything I had hoped for and more. I absolutely love being able to turn it into a tablet simply by folding the screen back and not having to do anything else! I’ve seen reviews saying that the display isn’t very good, but I think maybe it was a different model or something because this one is really good. I love that the keys are a little bigger than what’s on most laptops. The only thing is I’m having trouble remembering that it doesn’t have a numerical keypad. Muscle memory is a booger, am I right? I’m very, very pleased with this laptop; pretty sure that it was a steal considering all the tech specs it has. ... show more

    • Stopped working after initial setup and shutdown

Its really unfortunate, I initially really liked the laptop. Its small and compact, looked like new, and ran pretty well at first. Although, after I had finished setting the laptop up and shut it down after downloading my usual software and a game to try out the Iris xe graphics, the next time I turned it on, the laptop started up saying "Fixing (c:)..." which was the first red flag. After a little while, it finished and I got back to the login screen. Although, when I tried to login using my microsoft account, it told me it couldn't sign in and some of the software I downloaded couldn't start because I didn't have access since I wasn't signed in. After trying some online solutions and failing, I decided to reset the laptop and try to start from scratch, but without the Microsoft account. After completing setup by bypassing initial internet connection and then connecting afterward, I couldn't even open the Microsoft Edge browser for some reason, but I could still update software and search for things through the search bar. None of the links requiring opening the browser would work, though. ... show more

Before I purchased I read all the reviews. I was hesitant at first because I seen some negative reviews. And seen the WIN OS has been renewed. I received my laptop quick and in perfect condition. It did have a renewed sticker on the bottom. I read some other received new units. I set it all up worked perfectly and fast. Feels very solid not cheap at all. Metal case is a nice finish and adds a touch of class. I did run into the bug on my first restart. The bug is Windows related. Windows was prompting to create a pin and it will not accept it. Once your OS opens you can go in to setting and disable Microsoft log in at start up and you will log in locally on your PC. All my Microsoft still works. If I had to log in Microsoft due to work or something like that at start up. I would have called Microsoft to fix the glitch. That's like cloud log-in glitch. I've had this laptop now for a month now. I have not had any issues since then. I am light gaming so far. It works smooth. Even on peformance mode it's quite. This laptop is a good deal for the money. ... show more
