A nice and sturdy backpack for travel or daily use. Classy black with red accents, it has all the compartments you would expect from such a large backpack: two large, main separated compartments, one large front compartment with another medium zippered compartment on top, two small zippered side pockets at the base, and one zippered compartment at the back (strap) side. As expected, the rear main compartment has a soft cushioned envelope for laptops or large tablets; at 10" wide, I had no trouble putting my 15.6" gaming laptop inside (see picture). The top handle has a steel cable encased in clear silicone running through it for strength, which is both functional and adds a nice visual touch. The base of the backpack extends out 8.5", providing good volume. The back / strap side compartment (see last picture) is a nice touch; a great place to keep passports / IDs / cash, it's sandwiched between the bulk of the backpack and your lower back, making it difficult to impossible to pickpocket, while still being quite easily accessible when one-shouldering the bag. Some of the things I don't like about this backpack: - No side water bottle netting / pocket. I could in theory use one of the small side zippered pockets, but half-zipped pockets don't restrain objects in any way and larger bottles can easily fall out. This is the single biggest weakness for this bag when it comes to travel. - Shoulder straps, while nicely padded, are only 2.5" wide, which would more easily dig into shoulder blades if heavy and worn for a long time, causing discomfort. I would have liked at least 3" or even wider shoulder straps. - The top handle (an extremely important part of the backpack as it will be used a lot), despite having a steel cable running thru it, is only anchored to the pack with one rivet on each end, and the riveted area on the bag doesn't appear to be especially reinforced. I would have preferred more reinforcement for a travel bag. Overall, this is an excellent backpack despite some shortcomings. Recommended.

I've been using this for a bit over a month now. it is a touch smaller than I'm used to, but that's good. It has fewer zippers and pouches and that's exactly what I was looking for. Everything kept getting lost in my other bags. This one is a bit less organized but it keeps it all together. It doesn't have a bottle holder pouch on the side. I really miss that. I really like the design and colors, the texture feels good, sturdy and well made.

Pros: Light weight Lots of storage spots Big (fits lots of clothes) Comfortable padding Secret pocket that's against your back when wearing it. (Good for money or passport when traveling) Cons: Not waterproof (resistant would be a better term) Laptop pocket could use more padding at the bottom. Review: I like the backpack, its big, tough, and definitely is a 4 day trip bag. For my pictures I put my laptop and headphones in the laptop compartment. Like a hamper full of clothes in the middle pocket. A spotting scope in the front. The my Owala in the side pocket. It doesn't have a water bottle pocket, but I opened the side pocket and the strap on the side hold my water bottle just snuggly. I wish the bottom of the laptop compartment had more padding in case I drop the bag. The heading for the backpack says "waterproof". So with my backpack full of everything above except the laptop and headphones. I put paper towels in the pockets, and got my hose. I used the shower mode, which would be like a very heavy rain. Sprayed for about 2 seconds. Water seeped through some of the zippers and got some paper towels wet, but the paper towel in the laptop section was dry. I let the water now on the pavement move under the backpack, and some of it did enter through the bottom and got my clothes a little wet. Therefore not waterproof, but maybe water resistant.

This backpack is huge -- depth, width, and length!!! This backpack would be great for a larger size person (especially height-wise), the traveler that doesn't want to carry a traditional suitcase, and definitely a student-athlete. All the pockets are huge with good depth. The side pockets are not mesh. Instead they are zippered pouches that can easily hold a larger phone, plenty of writing utensils, a large wallet, and more. The front zippered vertical pocket can easily stash items that need to accessed easily like tickets, etc. This pocket is flatish and slightly wide. I'm in love with the top handle. The metal cable covered with clear PVC plastic and then a movable hards plastic cover with a metal tiedown is so sick!!! And it still has a traditional strap handle/loop behind that to allow the backpack to easily hang on hooks. The front compartment can hold a ton of stuff. The middle compartment is enormous -- easily 4" wide and super deep. You can easily put a sz14 shoe in this section plus clothes and more. The rear compartment has padded pouches on the back to hold your tablet and laptop. The backside of the backpack is generously padded. There is a strap so that you can put the backpack over a luggage handle for easy portability. There is a slightly hidden zippered pocket hidden at the bottom by this mesh covered padding -- good for hiding keys, money, etc. This is one of the best backpacks I've seen in decades!

I ordered this on whim, since I thought maybe one of the Chinese brands actually supports 17in laptops. It is stylish and water resistant, but it is also thick enough to provide better than average protection for my laptops. While (like others) it will not hold my 17in laptop due to its rounded top, it has no issues holding my 15.6in laptops and the associated paraphernalia. The zips seem sturdy and the straps are comfortable enough. While I do not recommend it for anything larger than 15.6in laptops, I think that it is a good deal at 36USD. I am rating it four stars for my use, but I would recommend waterproofing it if you ride a bike in the rain when using it. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...
