Lego does such a great job of engineering these kits. This particular kit uses a series of gears to operate the skid steer bucket in 2 different motions, i.e. the bucket arms can be manipulated to lift the bucket from ground level to an overhead position AND the bucket itself can be made to pivot from a digging position to a drop load position.
