Kids AND adult had a blast making it, thought the Lego reindeer were absolutely amazing, and it became a fun Christmas decoration for us when completed. This is a great build with surprising details on the sled. The Santa is the standard Lego St. Nick that has been around for years, but the reindeer are new for me and their antlers are a softer rubber with some flexibility. There have been some fun reindeer builds over the years with bricks, but I like the details and overall look of these solid reindeer. The saddle block can come out allowing for some creativity if you want. The wide selection of toys overflowing is fun and Santa holds a huge “Nice List” 2x3 flat plate. Build time was roughly 45 minutes and I think experienced LEGO builders age seven and up (the box says 9+) could enjoy this with more time and the help of an adult. You can see from the pictures that I have hung ours using 12lb fishing line from our living room light fixture (I have a very understanding wife.) I actually purchased two sets so i could have a full regiment of eight reindeer. This set is something I’ll tear apart and put back in the box so i can rebuild it next Christmas. Very nice Lego set. I bought it for my 7 year old grandson last Christmas. Thought it made a nice Christmas gift as he will bring it out every Christmas and hopefully always remember Granny gave it to him as he loves legos.
