LEGO has established themselves as a brand having something for everyone - from the youngest of us to the oldest. They continually keep their product fresh by including new lines. Some of these have what I call “structured builds”, where you follow the manual brick-by-brick. Others are “creative builds” where you are free to follow your imagination to any destination. This particular set (called “Picture Frames and Bracelet Ice Cream”) is a combination of both ideas. It starts out as a structured build and then becomes creative. I can see this product being a family build, although it does say 6+ on the box. This isn’t for the littlest of the family, though - see duplo for that. These pieces can be extremely small, so avoid building this around small children. There are three main parts to this set - each is a different colored popsicle. The three popsicles connect and there is a base for the three that you also build. A detailed manual is included, with full instructions. The inside of the popsicles have ridges where you can (if you choose) insert a picture. This can be done during or after assembly. Once the popsicles are built, (with or without pictures) connected and on the stand, here’s where the real creativity begins! The pieces to make the popsicles are enclosed in bags in the middle of the kit. On the outside of the kit are six different set of DOTS of every color in the rainbow. There is also a rubber “friendship bracelet” which can hang from the popsicle sticks. There is tons of room for all possible patterns, colors, initials, characters- it’s really limited only by the imagination in a person’s hands. Plus there’s the best part - take it down and try something else! The customization options and creativity possibilities make this a must have for anyone of almost any age.
