This road plate set is to display my Speed Champions cars. Just a note, the current scale of car is *slightly* too wide for the old standard lane; however this set is flexible. You can make the road “one way”, or double up on the plates, or use the original size. I thought I might need cobble parts to make my own scale road for my Speed cars, but no. This meets what I needed. It also probably fits on a grass base plate. If I need more I can buy more. The details; like speed bumps, road signs, crosswalk, plants and trees, and glow in the dark pieces are awesome. This is a must have for starting a city display. Make sure you have a flat area to place it upon. Because these will not stay together during transport (unless you secure it to another big grass plate). I do not like the easy press and open packaging compared to clear sticker box flap opening. It slightly rips the box face and the flap isn’t as secure. I like to keep and display the boxes. But that isn’t a negative for the actual set. This was fun to put together, it looks good, and is essential for the city theme. It is good enough to create a scene for my cars, sets & minifigs. It is even big enough to place a robot in the intersection or whatever you got. ... show more

We've purchased several of these LEGO City road base plate set. I think we are on our 3rd one as my son continues to expand his Lego City empire. These roads have been a game changed for my 11-year-olds varios Lego City sets. Before this, his city was spread across tables and floors with improvised roads. Once we added these plates, everything instantly felt organized, realistic, and expandable. The roads connect cleanly, line up perfectly with LEGO City buildings, and give his police stations, firehouses, and shops a proper street layout. It immediately elevated the whole setup from “collection of sets” to a real city. What I appreciate most as a parent is how this encourages long-term creative play. Instead of rebuilding one set at a time, my son now spends hours planning traffic routes, rearranging neighborhoods, and expanding districts. The plates are sturdy, lie flat, and hold up well even when the city gets rearranged frequently. This set doesn’t come with flashy builds or minifigures—and that’s actually the point. It’s a foundation piece that serious LEGO City builders will use constantly. My son considers this just as important as any building set he owns. Such a fun set! The city lights are like solar powered and light up a little after absorbing light. Great fun surprise! I wish they had a little bit more of the tiles in the set but it is a good start up. Highly recommend.
