My 5 year old grandson was able to look at the pages in the instruction book and assemble this by himself. So cute and easy for children. I would recommend this product for 5 or 6 year old children.

I love Lego and enjoy building sets with my kids. My 8 year old is already building more complex sets, but my 4 year old has struggled to really understand it and build on his own (talking about small Lego here - not his Duplo). Anyway, I wanted to get my son a nice easy set to try out and chose this one. When we recieved it, I immediately showed it to him and he was so happy he carried the box around for a half hour until we were ready to build. We sat down and I tried to walk him through the instructions. He wasn't quite able to look at the instructions and build on his own, but with some help, he added on enough pieces to be able to declare that he built it. He was so excited to have a police helicopter and to be able to chase around the bad girl on the boat. He can't wait to show this little police helicopter to his friends! Overall, I'm very pleased with the set. There might be some 4 year old who can build this on their own, but I think most will probably need some help. Either way, at the end they have a cool little helicopter with an opening windshield and even an opening "backseat" where the policeman and put the criminals he catches. ... show more

My soon to be 3 year old is obsessed with this set and able to build it pretty much all on his own. Just the right amount of pieces to keep him engaged. As always, Lego quality is 2nd to none.
