I think Legos are always a wonderful gift. I've raised my kids and now my grandchildren with lots of Lego blocks. It's great for their imagination. My 7 year old grandson put this ship together by himself.

This is a B I G Lego set. But it does float and is fun to play with in the water. Even if you're an adult. The sunken ship doesn't stay sunk though. You need a rock or something to weigh it down.

  • 9 year old grandson loved it!
Style: Standard Packaging
This Lego set is good sized at almost 2 ft. long, but it kept my nine-year old grandson busy and focused for almost two days and that is a really good thing. He was able to follow the instructions almost entirely on his own and he seemed to enjoy the meticulous nature of assembling the vessel and all of its related parts, one "brick" at a time. ... show more

  • Great Lego Gift for a Seven Year Old
Style: Frustration-Free Packaging
My grandson who turned 7 in April loved this Lego set. It was easy for him to follow the instructions totally by himself Each part was labeled well and in different bags so everything was clear and easy for him to do. We watched him put together the pieces easily but using the guide totally on his own. He worked for about two hours non-stop and then played with it making up stories. It was a great gift and worth the money spent on it! ... show more

  • GREAT SET!!!!
Style: Frustration-Free Packaging
My 8yr old son loves legos & recently discovered a passion for ships. After looking at a few individual sets I settled on this all in one. Pricey, but once you factor in the multiple pieces you realize it's a great bargain. A large ship, small rescue boat, a submarine & small sunken pirate ship plus multiple accessories. A shark & sting ray. He woke up this morning and was so excited to see his newest lego addiction ... show more
