This was a fun advent calendar for the kids to look forward to and assemble. Oftentimes, there are a lot of "dead" or low value items as part of an advent calendar which leads to disappointment for the kids. This kit however, had a good assortment of lego items and pieces to build for each of it's days. Each day comes with it's own separated and bagged item (most bags seemed to have a few extra pieces fyi). One downside, the bags don't come with daily assembly instructions so you may help some of the younger kids figure out how to put it together. ... show more

My 9 year old loves this advent calendar. Every day he gets up and opens one and is excited by the fun pieces that he receives. He lays them out on the decorating board attached to the advent calendar to set the perfect Christmas Lego scene. Some pieces are unique for Christmas and others are general pieces that make something such as a table, sled, etc. He's received some animals in it as well. Love these Advent Calendars. My wife and I love these we get them every year. This past one was the best as it had alot of mini figs and they were awesome best one yet hopefully next years will be similar

So much fun doing this advent calendar this year. The pieces were so fun to put together and the different characters were a lot of fun to discover. The creativity of the designers is amazing. No missing pieces and lots of extras in case you lose them later on.

I gave this as a gift to a neighbor's son and she's sent me two thank you notes because her son loves it so much! She said the theme and characters are adorable, and her son wakes excited to open the next "door" each day. She's associated opening a "door" to Christmas magic that only works when he's good. We’ve been getting a LEGO advent calendar every year, and the kids still get excited for this one. The design is fun and festive, and the surprises actually keep them interested all month. Ease of assembly is great since they can build most pieces on their own, and the instructions are simple and clear. We didn’t run into any missing pieces, which is always a relief with small builds. It feels like good value for money for how much playtime it gets, not just during December but after too. My son has always loved the Lego advent calendars. The quality of the Lego building blocks is always great. If you have not done previous Lego advent calendars, then this is a fun set to build over the month of December. However, my son has completed many of these advent calendars and the whole set seemed too similar to previous years. There needs to be a revamp for return customers. ... show more
