Description

Presenting the LEGO Architecture interpretation of one of the most iconic landmarks ever constructed - The Eiffel Tower! Designed and built by French entrepreneur, Gustave Eiffel, the original 324-meter-tall masterpiece of wrought iron engineering formed the grand entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, held in Paris to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. During construction, the 18,038 wrought iron elements making up the tower's lattice structure were bolted together at Eiffel's factory on the outskirts of Paris, before being transported to the site, hoisted into place by steam- powered cranes operating from the elevator shafts and assembled using no less than 2.5 million individual rivets. The resulting structure was extremely rigid and over the years has withstood storms, floods and everything else mother nature has thrown at it. Today, The Eiffel Tower is one of the world's most popular landmarks, attracting millions of curious visitors from around the world each year. With this exceptional model, you can now build your very own 321-piece Eiffel Tower in LEGO brick form and display it in your home, office or wherever you like!

  • Great product and product line!!!
Color: Multicolor
The Eiffel Tower was my second Lego Architecture model to build. The first was the Burj Khalifa and the third was the Chicago skyline. All of which were fun to build in different ways. Of the three, the Eiffel Tower was the most complex and fun to assemble. The way it all came together utilizing hinges is really cool. When finished, it was indeed the most beautiful of the three. Including frequent breaks the model took about 3 hours to assemble. I have it displayed on my desktop in my office opposite the Burj Khalifa. They complement each other well, the old world meets the new world of architecture. Look forward to building another. ... show more

  • "It took me 3 hours for me to build, but it was worth it!"
Color: Multicolor
I didn't build this, my brother did. I'm just writing this review. For Easter, my brother got a Lego Architectural for the first time ever! We all thought it would be pretty small, but that's not true. This LEGO Architecture 21019 The Eiffel Tower is by is the best Lego set my brother has ever owned. It took all afternoon to build it. My brother is basically a Master Builder, so this wasn't uncharted land for him. The size of this Lego set is unbelievable! It goes to his ankle. At first, it was a little hard to believe. But, it's true! "It took me 3 hours for me to build, but it was worth it!" said the Young Master Builder. -R€&G@N ... show more

  • Great "Cheap" Architecture Set
Color: Multicolor
In my opinion this is the best architecture set that is under $50. I personally paid $30 and I think this is the most aesthetically pleasing set I own. There are some unique techniques involved in the build however, there are some repetitive parts as well due to the symmetry. I don't think that the repetitive steps took anything away from the build though. If you like the architecture series buy this set NOW! If you don't like the architecture series this one isn't any different so you probably want to stay away. If it's for a child they might like it, but I would only get it for them if they are interested in buildings or architecture. Personally I like the architecture series as they are "serious" enough to display at places like work and people seem to love the aesthetics and idea of them. I've lost track of the amount of times someone has walked by my desk and said stuff like, "Awesome Lego set man" or "Man I forgot how much I miss building Legos that set is cool" So if you want a good conversation starter and like Legos get this set! In summary get this set if you like architecture or the more adult themed Legos. Kids may like this as well, but it depends on the child. If you haven't purchased an architecture model yet, this is a great one to start off on as it's cheap and overall represents what the architecture series is going for. ... show more

  • Fun set for a budding architect!
Color: Multicolor
This is a great introduction set to Lego's Architecture series. Lots of small pieces, so I wouldn't give this to a young kid who gets frustrated too easily, but it comes together nicely and adds to any scene or just as an ornamental piece.

  • Best of the small Architecture series
Color: Multicolor
This is the best of the smaller architecture series. It's sturdy, and slightly over a foot tall. The others in the architecture series are significantly smaller. The substantial size of the Eiffel tower makes it a better show piece. Also, it's more sturdy than the smaller ones. There are two "floating" points, which allows the tower to slightly contort. I'm not sure if this helps the integrity, but it's pretty cool and unique to the Eiffel tower. Like the other smaller architecture series, it's a pretty easy build. ... show more

  • I love LEGO, but this is the shoddiest LEGO set ...
Color: Multicolor
I love LEGO, but this is the shoddiest LEGO set I've put together in ~20 years of playing with them. There were at least 3 missing pieces, and at one step I had to add 4 extra bricks to make the connection work. I've never seen a LEGO with even one of these mistakes before! My 10 year old brother agreed, the quality control with this set was below LEGO's standards. Other than that, it's got a pretty cool design and was fun to put together. ... show more

  • Nice Addition to Lego Architecture
Color: Multicolor
My children enjoy building and collecting the Lego architecture sets. This is a nice addition to the collection. We paid around thirty two dollars which makes this one of the more affordable sets and a good value for the money. It is about twelve inches tall which makes it one of the taller sets. It took us about 90 minutes to put this together. There are a few very tricky steps and a lot of repetitive work as well. Overall, it looks good. The booklet that came with it was fun to read through. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the Lego Architecture series. The age says 12+ which is probably right for a child to do this alone. I put this together with my eight year old, and I had as much fun as he did. ... show more
