  • Straightforward to use and nice range of programs
The media could not be loaded. The Sorudel leg exercising machine was delivered well packaged and you simply lift it out if the box and plug it in and it is ready to go. Reading the instructions took longer than setting it up but I would encourage anyone who gets one to read them, especially if you are like me and not had an electric elliptical before. The instructions has some important things like the machine stops after 15 minutes automatically to cool for 5 minutes. That helps extend the engine life by not allowing it to overheat. There is a remote with 2 AAA batteries supplied. I found to use the remote I needed to make sure I was pointing it toward the front of the machine closest to me but then it worked well and it's really much more convenient to use the remote versus leaning over to press buttons on the display especially if you've got the machine going. My intention getting this machine was to pop it under my desk for while I'm working as I've had an old non-electric under the desk pedaller for about 7 or 8 years and it has gotten quite wonky. But since I unpacked the elliptical downstairs I decided to try it while I was watching some tv after dinner. For that it was very convenient that the cord was just long enough to go underneath this sofa to an outlet. I started out with either program 1 or 2 then after the 5-minute break I tried program five which is a little bit more intense but still very smooth and relaxing. The programs start off slow, then are more intense in between, then slow again toward the end and they go for 15 minutes. I then decided to take the elliptical upstairs which was easy as it's got a little hole that you can slip your hand in at the top to move it around. It is not very heavy and I had no trouble moving it. Once I had placed the elliptical under my desk I then dealt with emails for a little while and did the program level 9 and that was still a very smooth experience but I could feel my legs working a little bit more. I was really pleased because the sound is not very loud and it is not distracting when I'm working or watching TV. The same with the leg motion it's not distracting. I kind of like the programs because they do have that warm up and cool down built into them plus the peddling direction changes from time to time. I don't think the leg exerciser is going to use very much electricity as I think it said it uses 50 Watts in the instructions, I'll update this review if I find that is not the case. I'm going to get my mom to try it when she visits as I think one would be excellent for her when she's sitting reading or watching TV. The elliptical has exceeded my expectations and I think I'm going to get a lot of use from it while I work at home. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get some leg exercise while sitting. ... show more

  • Good, lightweight machine...
It was easy to setup. I didn't bother using the velcro straps or the arm bands. Make sure you have a solid chair to sit in as the leg movements tend to make your chair move away from the machine. I would also probably recommend some good grippy socks or just wear shoes. Bare feet will cause you not to have a good footing on the machine's pedals. The functions of the machine were easy to figure out through trial and error. Machine operation was relatively quiet, though it does create a low 'thud' noise on your floor depending on the operation speed. I would suggest a thick yoga mat under it or be mindful that it may create a noise and if you have neighbors below you, etc. There is a remote with the same button functions as on the machine and comes with 2 'AAA' batteries. Cord connects through the front, though is convenient if the wall outlet is behind you, but if it's to the right or left, or in front of the machine, it becomes a tricky maneuvering of where to string the cable at so it doesn't get pinched. Overall, I like the quality, having a handle, being mainly a plastic body to reduce weight, but still feels like it won't immediately break. ... show more

  • Instructions are pretty much useless.
I always read instructions first, and it's rare that I have trouble figuring out what to do with something. And this one - the instructions are pretty much useless and I cannot figure out just WHAT the pre-programmed modes are supposed to DO. Plus no instruction videos, no link to a product website, nothing. Sure, I can just use it with a timer and step counter, but if there are pre-programmed modes, I want to try them out. Since I literally cannot figure out how any of the pre-programmed modes are supposed to work, I'm docking another star. Also, oddly enough, the remote control SKIPS P09 whereas tapping on the machine directly goes smoothly from P01 all the way to P12 and back. (It's just, actually doing that doesn't seem to trigger anything.) The cord is also a bit too short and not securely attached to the machine; it wobbles quite a bit no matter what I do. As it is, it just doesn't seem worth the price tag. Nope, not for me. ... show more

  • Great for working the legs
This was packaged well, it arrived in mint condition. It is easy to put together and use. The remote does come with batteries, so be sure to check the box for batteries as I almost chunked them out with the box. The remote works well, no problems. This works as it says, it does a 15 minute session then shuts off. So far I have only used the rehab and low intensity settings for working my legs and have found it enjoyable. I did connect the resistance bands and have used them a couple of times and they work great, however, I am not a huge fan of using them very much when doing a workout not specifically for resistance bands (that's a me thing). The machine does change direction easily during the programmed settings like it says, which is kind of fun for me. The screen is easy to see and read and it does show the time left in the session, the setting, and number of steps or cycles done so far. This has been a nice change of pace for me to use at home in working my legs and helping to improve my mobility and circulation. I highly recommend that if you get this make sure you have a no slip pad or mat to go under it as it does tend to slip around a lot without one. ... show more
