Went to an 80’s theme bday party and this outfit was perfect! I was the only female Maverick and this costume pulled together very easily with some black boots and aviator glasses. It really was perfect. It’s well made and very comfortable & functional for dancing. I’m 5’5”, 150 lbs., medium framed, small chest and a little hippy. Medium was too small, large was a little big. Couldn’t even get the size medium over my hips & the large was roomier than I would preferred ...but the large worked and it was definitely comfortable. I’m wearing the large in the photo. I read the reviews and decided to size to a large. I am 5’4 162 lbs with an apron belly. It sinches the waist just right and it’s forgiving to my lower belly. It is short so make sure to wear those shorts ladies. Again no stretch to these but overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I'm 5'1", 130lbs. I usually wear a small in dresses. I read the reviews trying to decide if I needed a medium or large. I got a medium first. If I had no choice, I could have dealt with it. But it was very small in the chest area (and I don't have a big chest at all). There's no stretch overall because it's a canvas material. Decided to send it back and get the large. Much more comfortable, especially I'll be wearing it for a while, but still doesn't look too big. Once you figure out your size, I highly recommend this costume because it is so cute. Only thing I'm upset about is when I got the medium, it came with both the Goose and Maverick nametag for you to switch out. When I got the large, I only got the Maverick nametag. Wore for a Halloween party with my husband as Maverick and Goose. Paired with some aviator sunglasses and boots and this was an incredibly easy and cute costume. Surprisingly good quality. This will last for years. I definitely recommend sizing up. I’m 5’7” a size small or 2 in everything and the MEDIUM fit very well. it really snatched your wait and let’s your bum not be crushed as well. it does smoosh the boobs down quite a bit though but my boyfriend said it still looked nice so that’s good 😊. i ordered a size that was perhaps a bit small for me but i think it’d still be great if you wanted it to hang looser as well :) it is a great quality costume! ... show more

This costume runs way too small. I wear a small shirt and a size 4 jeans and I couldn’t zip it past my chest and the arm holes were made for women with very thin arms. It also isn’t cotton. It is a non stretchable polyester blend. Very disappointed.

Great item for the price! It was exactly what I was needing and looking for. I wore with tights cause it was super cold. But definitely long enough to wear without. I ordered the large cause the medium was way too small for me. But large was perfect.
