The media could not be loaded. This “adjustable Dumbbell” is piece of exercise equipment that the more I use it, the more I appreciate its clever design, and the convenince that that design creates. I’ve eyed such products for a long time, but wasn’t convinced it would be worth the “marked-up” price. I’ll be the first to admit that I was quite mistaken. The price is comparable for what you get and the price is not at a “marked up” level. In my video, I show you how I can quickly change the amount of weight carried by this dumbbell in seconds. While the online ad describes this dumbbell as “adjustable” that adjective does not give this product its full due. Even the very old school dumbbells that consiste of a short iron bar with threaded ends on both sides, on which one can insert plates or multiple places on each side, and then fasten them securely by screwing on a locking “nut” or squeezing and pinching in place a spring loaded stopping coil, can be described as “adjustable”. However, the dumbbell with locking “nuts” will be very slow to adjust. A dumbbell using pinching coils is much faster than screw-on “nuts” but I think not as fast in swapping out the plates to get your new weight. I think this Leekey Adjustable dumbbell as be properly described as a Quick Change (Quikchange) adjustable dumbbell. Regarding price, this quick-change adjustable dumbbell give one 5 weight levels, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 pounds weight. If this was configured as an old style dumbbell with locking nuts, then you’ll pay approximately, $10 for the steel bar, $10 for a pair of locking nuts, and approximately $1.50 to $2.50 per pound for 25 pounds of weight spread out over 3 or 4 plates. This will cost you at a minimum of $75 to $85 dollars which not is much less than the Leekey. The online ad says the Leekey saves space. So, if speed of changing weight is important, (and it is in order to keep your heartbeat in the desired range) then you would buy non-adjustable dumbbells in the pre-determined desired weights. This means no time is wasted on adjusting plates and weights, and fastening the locking mechanisms. But that also means you have 4-5 different dumbbells (and double that if you must exercise both arms/side in tandem). Viewed in this way, the Leekey definitely saves you space, which if you want to bring your weights to your summer house or in your RV or something like that, the space savings will be appreciated. The Leekely has a very solidly feel. The diameter and feel of the “handle” is very fit and comfortable. The “selector” mechanism is smooth and works effortlessly. The bottom plastic base that enable the selector to work, has finger gripping holds built into each side, which is a thoughtful detail.

Adjustable dumbbells can be hit or miss. I've owned or own Adjustable dumbbells that are expensive and seems to be over engineered, or they're a little too simple in their operation, and feel cheap. These feel like a happy medium. First off, the one handed operation of changing the weights is not only easy to use, it's perfect if you're someone who enjoys a workout like a beachbody on demand class, and need to use multiple weights. Changing the weights is as simple as placing the weight on it's base, and twisting the handle to your desired weight. I will say that I was afraid that the base felt a little cheap, and was afraid it would crack after some use, but it's held up so far. If you're someone looking to save some space, but are looking for a little bit of quality without having to pay a premium price, you may have found what you're looking for.

Don't let the title fool you! Title is a bit misleading because it says "set". Definitely thought I was getting two of these, but this is for one. That being said, it's a great dumbbell. It changes weight easily and I love that. Been using more like a kettle bell since it only came with one.

I had no idea these adjustable dumbells existed and I am pleasantly surprised at how amazing they are. Putting them together and working the mechanism to switch out the dumbells is definitely a learning curve. It took me a minute to get that all worked out, but once I did, it was a breeze to switch between the different weights. The hand grip on these dumbells is very comfortable and fits nicely into my hand. I'm a petite lady, but with some pretty large hands, so I don't know if that accounts for that lol. Once the weights are locked in, you don't have to worry about any shifting...those weights are staying in place baby! I love that the dumbell comes with it's own little "holder" and it fits right down into the holder and looks pretty darn good as a part of my little at home gym set. Overall, I think this is a well-built, pretty darn awesome adjustable dumbell and I highly recommend it for both men and women to add some weight lifting into your workout routine.

I lost my adjustable dumbells in the divorce, and been looking to replace them, this one works perfectly easy to use and the locking mech is great! I have to knock off a star due to the missleading discription, I figured there was only one due to the picture and product weight discription but when it says Dumbells and the word Set that indicates more than one so be aware of that. otherwise its great as a stand alone.

These are quality dumbells at a good price. It is simple to change out the weight by simply placing the dumbells into the holder and selecting the weight that you desire, then lifting them out of the cradle. I like the convenience of having multiple weights available without the need for a large dumbbell rack and multiple dumbbell sets. This is portable and easy to store and use. a great value overall.
