My second time in a few years purchasing this exact pair of Lees cargo shorts. I generally don't like buying the same shirt, pants or shorts twice but this is an exception. If you have owned a pair of these shorts, you know what I am saying. As comfortable as my gym shorts yet as durable as my work pants. It's no wonder these have been around so long. I imagine LEE will keep making them as long as they sell. If you like the look, you will love everything else about these shorts. If you don't like the typical cargo short, look than no matter what my opinion these aren't for you. I have several colors and currently looking for other LEE brand shorts to find something that will compare yet looks a little different just for a little change. Great find for me. I suggest you try them out.

Wanted to wear and wash these a few times before writing a review. Overall, love them. Fit well, seem to be well made and I expect durability, and very comfortable. Also love the web belt that came with it and the way it fastens securely. However, I would have given these 5 stars except for the following. IMO these could have been perfect with a few design changes. First and foremost, make the left side pockets exactly the same as the right side. The right side is VERY functional. The left, not so much. While the bottom left pocket is functional, the top left little pocket is useless IMO. Too small and will never use it for anything; it just takes up space that could be put to better use. Also, I'd prefer velcro on the back pockets, but I can live with the buttons. But I do plan on buying a few more pairs even with the annoying left side pockets design.

I like most things about these shorts and scored them accordingly. They are well made of a durable, somewhat heavy canvas-like material, but are not stiff like canvas. The zipper is good and of appropriate length, pockets are deep enough and plentiful, and best of all, 7 belt loops! I don't care for men's pants where the manufacturer has gone cheap and skimped on belt loops, as 5 is not enough to keep your belt from riding up between loops. 7 is best, especially for any waist size larger than 30". Mine, in size 36, seemed to be spot-on for standard sizing and the waist fit well. The pants are comfortable, if a bit baggy; I could probably get both legs in one shorts leg if I tried, which I probably won't! Beyond that, the provided belt seems ok, although I don't know that I'll use it. It did seem to work well on the initial wearing. Other than the very full cut, I'm mildly disappointed with the length. I ordered these in part because some of the reviews said they end above the knee, which I prefer. Mine do not, instead falling right to the middle of my kneecap, which I find somewhat annoying - and I have a 34" inseam, so it's not because I have stumpy legs. Still, I can live with that because these are otherwise very nice shorts - and at a reasonable price, IMHO a good buy.

After an extensive and unsuccessful search for 100% cotton shorts for my spouse, I searched on Amazon and found these. They arrived on time and finally a pair of shoes my husband c liked. Good length and with the belt included. These are keepers!

Bought these for my husband and he says they're very comfortable. Nice lightweight material and soft. The pockets are very strange though. There is a leg pocket I assume the description describes as a sunglass pocket, This pocket should be vertical because you'd never be able to sit with sunglasses in that pocket, it's really useless. There are 2 smaller leg pockets which don't appear as though they'd accommodate what men carry. There is 1 large leg pocket which is useful. The 2 back pockets he'll never use. In closing, they are a nice looking pair of shorts but not truly thought out when it comes to the pockets.

I love wearing cargo shorts, but have become accustomed to having a cellphone pocket. These shorts are comfortable, and fit well. There are ample pockets, with Velcro and button closures. I only wish that there was a dedicated pocket for my cellphone. Otherwise, exactly what I wanted. Great quality.

These items (the one I purchased, anyway) was about 2" smaller in the waist, than specified. Go up a size, and you will be fine.
