I was recommended this foundation for cosplay purposes due to its large shade range and affordable price. When I purchased this in the shade Oatmeal, I wasn't expecting it to match me perfectly since I had been shade matched with a different shade on the Revlon website, but it was on sale and I figured I could at least test the formula before giving it to someone else. Turns out that it matches me perfectly if I'm not trying to brighten my skin, which is exactly what I was aiming for. I'm naturally cool toned and pale but live in a sunny area where my warm, tan overtone can make finding foundation matches difficult. The formula itself is very nice. The foundation is fairly liquid, not a super thick consistency, which allows me to paint it on in thin layers on my skin. After setting for a bit, it stays on very well, and can be built up with another thin brushed or sponged layer for extra coverage. It works so well with any silicone based primer (I use elf's poreless putty primer) and lasts a long time. When it does come off, it doesn't break as much as just disappear, which I prefer as it looks cleaner at the end of the day. ... show more

Stays on pretty darn well

I bought this because I need something that stays on for a long time (at least 16 hours) without major touchups and is decently transfer resistant. I've worn it a couple of times (including in the snow with a balaclava on my face) and it seems to do pretty well. It does oxidize quite a bit and looked a bit grey on me so I bought the next color down on the neutral chart but it's way too pink, especially after it oxidizes. The photos I posted are of 140 and 150. I just bought the lightest color they make and plan to mix it with the other two for a more custom color. We'll see how that goes. I normally have very very very oily skin but I recently started a low dose of Accutane so it's improving. I don't think this would stay on well if my skin were as oily as normal. I also tried the L'Oreal infallible fresh wear in shade 415. It oxidizes as well but not a bad. I think it looks better overall but it's not nearly as transfer resistant. ... show more

This Revlon colorstay is the best

First they sent my Revlon colorstay & they were broken in transport. But I got it yesterday. For me this Revlon Colorstay Combination oily skin Is the best I have ever used. Because this shade sits between Ivory and Buff in the numerical range, one would think that it's a shade lighter than Buff, but it is not, it's actually darker. Revlon is the best, been using Colorstay for years, but they need more light olive shades, which Buff used to be, now it seems darker, that's why I tried Oatmeal, which is actually too dark/orangey.
