So very very bright it actually surprised me just how bright it was. Now I had a little bit of an issue getting the remote to work just in the beginning because you have to point the remote at the connection part of the lights so wherever you decide to put that piece which is also the on/off piece that’s actually connected to the lights make sure that it’s easy to point at with the remote. It stuck fine no problems with the adhesive. I had my bf help me and when he was putting on one corner he pressed a little too hard and that corner of lights went out. Not the whole strip but that little corner so I guess my other advice would be be careful on how hard push when pushing down the adhesive for the lights. ... show more

For the last few years I’ve been buying the Hollywood Style LED strip lights for my bathroom mirrors because they really make a difference with how much light they bring in and I haven’t had to use a lighted makeup mirror either since they basically replaced using one. Love them! So I was just getting ready to purchase another strip of them to replace the one that finally stopped working in my large bathroom when I ran across these and decided to take a look at them because I really liked how they looked in the picture. They just looked neater without the spaces with a wire in between them like my regular go to’s. I also liked how they had so many great reviews because I read them before buying something different. I’m also the type that usually sticks to what works before buying something different and honestly had to think about it awhile before I finally took the leap and bought these. And OMG LOOOOOOVE THEM! They are so nice looking it’s amazing!!! They make a $50 mirror look like a $250 mirror and are SO easy to put on! I’m so obsessed with them now that I’m ordering more to replace my other ones that do still work because the difference is like night and day! I don’t leave reviews often-usually it’s only if I get something absolutely terrible or I absolutely love and I absolutely love these! Trust me and buy them! Buy more than one set! These lights are awesome and so well thought out. Of course, I immediately plugged them in and started trying to wrap them around the edges of my mirror. Then I saw there was sticky tape on the back of the lights. Score! So I started to pull off the backing and stick them to my mirror. Then I realized I hadn't considered where the plug was, how to measure the area I needed to cover, where the dimmer would sit, etc. Turns out these lights were designed by just such an absent minded person as myself. The lights can plug into either end making it possible to start and the wrong end and get it right. They also made the dimmer and the plug and the lights all separate sections so you can route and re-route the plugs around all types of obstacles. For a set of lights that cost less than $20, these things are amazing well thought out. Oh, and the light is bright and dimmable, both great attributes for lights! ... show more

This is a fairly decent priced set of LEDs for what you get. The adhesive is very sticky and easy to apply. I did not try cutting my adhesive to fit the vanity. I originally bought this set to light up the front of the mirror, but then I realized that I would have two issues with that. 1) The light string would show and it's godawful ugly to allow anyone to see. 2) The LEDs would be absolutely blinding if I faced them to put on my makeup. Instead, I decided to use them to backlight my mirror. It took me about 3-5 minutes to stick the light strip to the back of the mirror in a very imperfect way (since no one was going to see it, I didn't care how I put it on). I basically wrapped the lights along the edges of the mirror, and had enough to go around the mirror and along the edge of the table. The result? Looks awesome. The reason for the 3 stars? The lights STAY ON WHILE OFF! There are about 4-5 LEDs on the strip that won't turn off even when the light strip is off. It's super annoying and since it's in my bedroom, it's always on while I'm sleeping, which is frustrating. I'm slightly worried that it may be a bit of a fire hazard, but I am unfamiliar with LEDs, so I have no clue... The photos I included are of the lights while off, but showing the glow (my phone camera isn't that great, so it's not a true fair representation). The other two are when the light is in the dimmest position, and the lights in the brightest position. The dimmer is very easy to use, and I have mine mounted on the side of my vanity with a double sided command strip. Overall, not a bad value. Just disappointing that I got a dysfunctional one. ... show more
