It comes packed like many floor standing lamps. The shaft is two pieces and and is molded plastic that just pushes together. The floor stand is just a rough piece of relatively heavy wood, at least compared to the plastic hollow shaft that screws into the block. The plastic shaft is wrapped with what looks like medical tape that has been painted, and was torn and exposed at the seam where the two shafts get connected. Due to the paint job it really isn't obvious but if you see the seem you can't help but continue to look at it. The palms are okay if you don't look too close, but they are very basic and have a metal rod in them to bend them into shape when ready to display. The led lights are nice in the fact that they generate no heat at all, yet the metal wrapping is very exposed and noticeable when looking directly at the palm. The 2nd pic show a close up of one palm that had the lights wrapped to the bottom of the palm while every other palm the lights where wrapped to leave the light on the top. These may be minor details to some people but to some quality should be higher for the price. It is also very important to note that there is no on/off switch and the cord runs along the top of the wood block instead of through the base like most floor lamps. In the 4th pic is my biggest disappointment, a bulky plug that sticks 4 1/2 inches straight out from a wall socket. Hence the reason I used an extension cord to plug it in. Maybe I was expecting to much, but if I paid full price for this I would have highly considered returning it because I have an eye for detail. On the other hand if you have enough other decor working with it these things may never bother you. Those who saw it after it was displayed liked it.

I was really disappointed with this palm tree as soon as I took it out of the box. The trunk of the tree is just a plastic tube wrapped and painted. Out of the box the trunk had gouges in it and it honestly just looks very fake. The leaves on the other hand are nice looking, and the lights on it are very bright. From far away, the palm tree looks cute but up close there's a lot left to be desired. The wood base is not very thick or sturdy. It's a shame because this palm tree could have been spectacular if a little more emphasis had been put on making a quality product.

For the price, you really can't go wrong with this 6' Faux Eucalyptus tree with LED lights. Easy to assemble, and surprisingly realistic looking, this lighted Eucalyptus tree even includes a multi-functional remote control with more options than you can imagine. The tree itself arrives in a narrow box without instructions, and it appears to be a faux silk tree with tightly wrapped LED fairy lights around the exterior of each of its branches. The wiring for the lights is a silver color and it is noticeable until you turn the lights on. The wall plug has a push-button on/off switch; however, once plugged in you are more likely to rely on the mini remote for functionality. The remote includes eight different modes, and all but one mode allow the lights to stay on continuously. The other modes are combinations of fade in/fade out, and flashing lights, with the ability to increase or decrease the brightness with the two dim buttons. Aside from the on/off buttons, there is also a timer button, which I have no idea how it works or for how long as there are no instructions or manual with the tree. The lights are not warm white as described. There are four colors to the lights: red, blue, green and white, which cannot be programmed to come on separately--all four colors go on at the same time. The red, blue and green colors are most prominent, which makes the tree ideal for holidays, in my opinion, such as Christmas. The flashing modes I find more than a bit annoying, as it can approach strobe light levels of distraction. This alone should ensure that the tree is placed inside only, and not outdoors where your neighbors might comment. All in all, though, a lot of thought went into this tree, and it is quite attractive, realistic and functional for its price point. Each branch can be bent in any direction for a narrower or fuller appearance, and I can visualize how having more than one of these as an indoor arrangement would have quite a stunning impact. Recommended. Made in China.

Palm leaves can be moved around for the shape you want. Lights are on tree well and cannot be moved. Cord is long. This is a versatile palm tree and can be used inside or outside. Easy to move, its made from plastic. Can lift with one hand.
