Sooo I’ll tell you now, you see the picture but that isn’t how you receive it! In your mind your ordering a 5ft light but what you get is a 6x7 inch box.. (ok fine!) What it contains are the hard parts and this rolled piece of plastic with the bend lines in it (ok fine, challenge accepted!) A- do NOT have cats in the room! Get them out before you assemble this thing! B- be in touch with your basic origami skills! If you can fold along the lines your fine! C- fold the larger side first except for the ends, fold the “last large strip looser than the others and fold the smaller strip in “more”, this will allow you to fasten it easier. They will match together and all you will have to do is smooth it out with your finger. Grasp the whole thing from top to bottom like your playing the stick game for short straw (beat I can describe it). This will better get the seal to hold and shap it in to this plastic post D- make Sure you check everything before you go inserting those little pegs lol. Trust me on this 🙄 alignment the sealed part of the tube to the back of the weighted bottom with the cord. I’m telling you those pegs are hard to get out so check that you have it how you want it before tapping them in The remote is great and so is the app.. lots of fun things you can do with it and I like that it has a timer to shut off. I actually had an issue that I had to contact support on but a friend helped me to fix it so that I didn’t have to break it down and swap it out- didn’t wanna rebuild a new one. In the end I’m happy with it. I may actually buy another later on I am only giving this a 4 star due to the assembly required, but it looks great when finished! Hope this helps someone ... show more

Pieces are folded and taped into shaped so they are not perfectly square. Con. It uses double sided gel tape to keep together and it struggles to do so. Pro. Comes with remote. Easy to use. Con. The app is necessary to make the music magic happen if you can't reach the cord once plugged in. Pro. App has a ton of features. Con. It's not syncing the 2 lights from a color perspective. Pro. I think I was concerned from some inaccurate reviews I read on here. But it turned out the lamp was what I hoped for. First of all, someone had written that the arms don't attach well, because of the screw that holds them, but when I was putting it together, I realized the screw is just a brace and the arms lock in place. The screw holds them in the same way screws work on large glass bulb lighting fixtures, basically the screw is just to lock it in place against a small lip that runs around the cylinder. If the arms feels flimsy then you didn't get the concept of how to put it together. The rod holding it up and the base both feel pretty solid. There is an on/off switch like a foot pad button you can step on sort of thing, and that works for me just fine. The paper lanterns are basic paper lanterns, so if you haven't had those before they may seem "cheap" to you, but they are actually better than most because they have metal rings running all over them so the structure is really solid in case you want to put another surface over them other than paper. I'm actually considering this. They are WAY brighter than I expected, but I got the max suggested wattage, the 60 watt (equivalent) LED bulbs, which are actually 8.5 watts each, but with three of them it's like a sun in my room, so I need to get softer bulbs or get a couple more of the lamps to disperse the light source. Maybe I will do both. Not sure yet, but I am already ordering a second one of these. ... show more

The construction is flimsy and I was hoping for something of slightly higher quality. I have had it for only two days and no matter what I do the seam won't stay sealed. I've tried adding various types of glue. Now I have added tape. I do not recommend this product. You'll see what I mean when you receive it and open the box. ... show more

The screws that hold the lamps in horizontally seems to let them hang less than 90 degrees, so it looks a little sloppy, even after tightening the screw and ensuring the rods were fully in. The paper lamp shades are much more wrinkly than what the pictures show. Not sure if they go away in time as I installed it today. I like the idea of a foot switch, but kind of useless if you are trying to find it in the dark to turn the lamp on. Maybe put an LED ring around it? Typical installation for a tall lamp, so no fuss there. If the lamps didn't sag and shades were less wrinkly I'd give it 5 stars for a budget lamp. ... show more

I really like it! I wanted a lamp that I could attatch multiple LEDs to and also has a softness to it (which is where the paper lamps came in handy). I like how low the paper lamps hang because there isn't a chance of accidentally blinding yourself by seeing the bulb. I used three 15w 1500 lumen LEDs and it works with no issue. ... show more
