Caution: it's a long review On the month of July due to high pollen my face experienced a bad breakout and while I was going through this problem I also experienced an allergic reaction to some specific food (which was a surprise since I never had that issue, is suspect that since I had covid it messed up my immune system) and with that reaction my breakout became so bad that I stopped hanging out with friends, the pimples on my face were always swelled up with pus and my whole face was red due to the breakout, horrible scarring, I could not even wear a mask because it made it worse, non of my skin serums(niacinamide, vit C ,hyaluronic) or acids(glycolic, salicylic, azelic you name it) non of it worked. I gave up, I remember calling my parents and crying about how much I hate how I looked that time, I was depressed because of this issue. That's when I came across the led light, I was hesitant at first, but then since I tried everything(serums, peel, acids, creams) why not try this too, I can say I'm pretty happy with my decision, cause it worked. I have upload the picture of my progress, remember that led is not the only thing that helped, I also used joeseof sulfur soap which also contributed to my healing process, I stopped all other skin treatment except for hyaluronic and vit c serum plus ample sunscreen. I've been using this mask for a few weeks now, and the results are incredible. The combination of red, blue, and infrared light helps reduce my acne and fine lines. The 3-strap design fits comfortably and stays in place during my sessions. My skin looks brighter and feels smoother. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a non-invasive skin boost! I've been using this mask for approximately two weeks now, so I can not attest to the long term benefits to my skin. However, the main reason I was interested in this product was it's potential to help me deal with seasonal depression. In that instance, I can say I am already seeing results! Our daylight hours are getting quite short here in the north and the weather is often cold and overcast. I normally start to feel lethargic and down at this time of year. In the past I've taken an antidepressant, just over the winter months, to feel better. It was only minimally successful. I've been reading about red light therapy for treating this issue and I decided to give it a try. Disclaimer: I was not currently taking an antidepressant when I started this and I'm definitely NOT suggesting that anyone should replace their medication with this mask. Obviously, you should consult your doctor about changes in treatment, not an Amazon review! The directions recommend starting off with testing it on your arm in case of skin sensitivity, which I did. It is very gentle. I then used it for 10 minutes in the morning for a week, and I am now doing 20 minutes. I recommend doing some research on red light therapy for seasonal depression, as this product is not specifically marketed for that purpose and it is not covered in the instructions. That said, the instructions are very clear and easy to understand for the purpose of skin care that it is being marketed for. I use it first thing in the morning to help me wake up. It feels just slightly warm, like morning sunshine hitting your face. You can do other things with the mask on but I prefer to just relax with my eyes closed. It helps clear away the sluggish feeling I used to get on a dark, cloudy morning and is a really great start to the day. I've noticed a marked improvement in my mood and energy throughout the day since I've been doing this, especially on days when I am not able to spend very much time outside. As for the quality of the product itself, I am very, very impressed! It functions flawlessly and lasts a long time on a single charge. The remote is very easy to use and turns off automatically when the treatment is done. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. The silicone layer between the lights and your skin makes it comfortable to wear and very easy to clean. The fit is comfortable, secure, and adjustable for every size head. It comes with a silky, black, drawstring bag for storage. The box is classy looking, sturdy, and has a magnetic closure. I will definitely be repurposing it, since I am using the drawstring bag for storing my mask. It also comes with a terry cloth headband and charging cord. They have thought of everything you will need! I wholeheartedly recommend this product. In a very short time I feel that it has had a positive effect on my sense of wellbeing, in what is usually a difficult season for me. I recommend, if you struggle with seasonal depression, that you do some research on red light therapy and give this a try. You could spend a lot more money, but from what I've read, this one checks all the boxes and I am seeing results! 5 stars!
