These LED basketball hoop lights are great for fall time. Since we still have warm weather but its getting dark outside much earlier than before, this makes evening playtime exciting and enjoyable. Easy to install and the kids love it!

The media could not be loaded. Since we have a full-sized basketball goal for our swimming pool, I thought why not jazz it up with some colored lights? Since these lights are waterproof and weatherproof, this product is working out great and everyone is having a blast playing night basketball in the pool. The lights themselves are fairly simple: it's a length of flexible tube LED lighting that is perfectly sized to fit around the rim of a basketball hoop. Zip ties are included, and I just zipped the light tube onto the rim. It was easy peasy, even for me, a "Boomer mom." I strung the cord around behind the backboard and hung the battery compartment in back, so it's hidden out of the way and also protected from getting pounded by the basketball. The cord is thin and kid of a clearish white, so it is not very noticeable. The battery compartment is sturdy plastic and has two tabs that snap down in place to close it up very tightly, to keep the inside dry despite splashing from the pool and rain (if we are lucky enough to get any rain). It takes 3 AA batteries. I must say the colors and flashing patterns on this thing are great! A remote is included, but even without the remote, you can control the lights using a button on the battery pack. This works out great since I envision the remote probably falling in the pool or getting lost since we are using it outside. Both with and without the remote, there are lots of choices for various solid colors as well as multi-color flashing patterns (strobe, twinkle, wave, fade, etc.). The lights are bright and there are so many color options! It seems the remote offers a few options that the battery box control does not, so that's a bonus if you are able to keep up with the remote. But even if we lose the remote or accidentally drop it in the pool, I am very pleased with all the color and flash options available using the battery box. I am not sure if this will last season after season out in the weather and the relentless Texas sun, but having the colored, flashing lights at night is so much fun we will not mind if we need to replace it with a new one next summer. Time will tell as far as longevity goes. So far, so good. Overall this is a great little addition that adds a huge boost to our pool at night. It installed very easily and works great, and the colored lights are bright, deep and beautiful. Everyone who sees it loves it!

Remote controlled,simple set up,done in 2 minutes,and the kids can see the hoop and aim away,until bedtime while you sit in your lawn chair,relaxing.
