The M12 cable stapler is everything it’s promised to do. It can easily be positioned in places impossible for a hammer, and regardless of the type of wood, the staple fastens just right (not too loose, not too tight) the first time, every time. No more bent staples! The only negatives are its weight (which is a problem only if making many staplings in a row) and the cost of staples. Sometimes a professional tool is warranted even if you're just a homeowner or d-i-yer. I don't know how many times I've cursed a project when stapling Romex over the years. Faced with a workshop build out and finishing a basement, I decided I wasn't going to keep fiddling with staples & a hammer trying to get Romex fastened to rafters and studs. Without fail I'll mash my thumb with a hammer or get the staples canted as one leg seats properly and the other tilts, walks or otherwise goes cattywhompus. This stapler made the job 1000X easier. Place the Romex straddle it with the stapler and pull the trigger. No more misdirected hammer swings, mashing thumbs or wires or misaligned staples. It can even handle stacked Romex. Yeah, it's not cheap but it's saved me more than enough frustration to make it worth the price. ... show more

This has been a great improvement for putting up cable. For the price it should have an adjustment for depth control. Most staples don't drive as deep as I think they should but I don't need to worry about sensitive cables either. One jamb took some effort to clear, I was considered dismantling some of it but I got the best staple out without doing it. ... show more

    • Works great and huge time saver
I just finished installing over 7000' of wire and this thing changed my life. It was fast and accurate, just make sure it's flat. If you hold it at a sideways angle, it may staple your wire. It was a huge time saver and worked on 12 & 14 gauge romex as well as Cat 6a and RG6 cable. The battery lasts all day. Definitely recommend. ... show more

Great tool but you really need to use Milwaukee brand staples. My box of look-alike staples worked OK but the Milwaukee brand staples were stronger and had better plastic insulation. I didn't measure but I am pretty sure the Milwaukee brand were a pinch wider. Don't be fooled, it's not worth the savings. ... show more
