Honestly did not expect them to live up to hype or cost. Mostly purchased for compact design to attach to my radio belt. After responding to a motorcycle accident and cutting through a thick padded leather biker jacket, metal zipper and all on the first pass and 3 layers of sweat shirt material on the second like I was cutting through tissue paper. I can honestly say I would never buy another pair of trauma shears. Definitely worth the money! ... show more

I work in ER, had another manufacturer of scissors and had to chew through clothes all the time. If you don't know anything about the ER, we love cutting your clothes off, if you can't undressed in a minute, we are happy to cut them off. We get extra excited if you come in wearing expensive clothes. These scissors glide right through the clothes in seconds. Even rapidly cuts nicely through the expensive motor cycle leather pants and jackets with ease. Smart motorcycle riders dress for the slide not for the ride. These are the best shears I have bought. I work in the medical field and those nursing scissors cannot compare with these. I have went through a lot of nursing scissors because of the inability to cut through thicker materials, but with these I can cut through a lot of different materials.
