Very nice! I got this to use for drawing with pens, watercolor pencils, and watercolor paints. Holds up well for all mediums. Agree with the maker's warning not to over use an eraser for mistakes as it will rub the paper off. It can handle a watercolor wash, but i have only tried a light wash. I am testing masking gum. The leather smells wonderful and is very soft. The wrap around cord could be shorter, but that can be changed. I loved getting a postcard with a picture of the artist who created the piece and I will drop her a message. I love that this was made in India. I really love this piece. I used to keep journals and would've loved to have had this 45 years ago. Now, I like to draw and paint. 8/19/25 update: can't use masking liquid/gum on this paper as it rubs a layer of paper off when you go to remove it. ... show more

First of all I couldn't stop smelling the leather the time a consideration that went into making this journal. I haven't found the correct pen to use for it yet but it looks vintage and inspires you to write good quality, the cover is amazing great value

It’s a lovely journal and exactly what I was looking for. I’m only docking a star because it only has 100 pages instead of the advertised 200. It technically has 200 pages if you count the front and back of each page but that’s not how pages are usually counted in a blank book. It’s enough for my purposes though so I’ll keep it but I do sense some deceptive marketing at play. ... show more

This was absolutely gorgeous. It looks genuinely antique and the material is very durable. The paper in made out of thick parchment like material and I've never had a problem with bleed thru even while using pen. There is a lot of pages to be able to write in.
