What leather edge thickness are these bits suitable for? These bits handle sanding and polishing on 5–15oz (≈2–6mm) leather edges, including stacked or layered ones, while the tapered wood bit can burnish up to 18oz (≈7mm). Do these bits wear down quickly? They hold up well with normal use. What seems like wear at first is just rubber compressing. We use them daily—light pressure, right grit, and avoiding dry sanding help them last. Hard leather or too much pressure can speed up wear. Are these compatible with Dremel? Yes, all bits use a 1/8" (3 mm) shank and fit most rotary tools like Dremel. Do they vibrate a lot during use? No. Our bits stay stable even at 35,000 RPM. For leather, we recommend staying below 15,000 RPM to avoid vibration, burning, or edge damage. How should I clean and store them? Wipe off leather dust after use. Rubber bits can be cleaned with alcohol. Store in a dry place and check for wear.

  • Pretty good
Pretty good. The bits will need to be replaced after medium use. But will do the trick for a bit.

  • Makes burnishing a breeze
This is pretty amazing. I think it would be really handy for folks who do leather work and have limited mobility needed for burnishing by hand. Throw it on a rotary tool, and your burnishing speed increases drastically. What used to take me 20 minutes now takes maybe 5 minutes.

  • faster and more satisfying.....
throw these into a dremel or milwaukee, adjust speed, and sand it down, then add a beeswax on the burnishing bits, and it burnishes leather edges great.... faster, more satisfying.

  • A good addition to my shop, even though not quite what I’d hoped.
I like them, but they aren’t quite what I was hoping for. I’d purchase again though.
