I bought this monitor and the v-tech vm928hd and we ended up returning this one because we liked the v-tech better. But we noticed that this leap frog monitor is made by v-tech so they are very similar. The battery life was good for our purposes. We mostly unplug just for naps, which lasts at most 2 hours, so it was great for that. Not sure if it was just our monitor but the up arrow button had to be pushed very hard in order to work. One reason we returned it. Another reason was that that the monitor screen wasn’t as clear as the v-tech. Both similar, but the v-tech was a smidge better. Third reason was that we didn't like that you had to push the volume button first and then adjust the volume, instead of just pushing the (+) and (-) button to adjust the volume on the v-tech. ... show more

We started looking for a monitor that would allow us to see both of our daughters’ rooms without having to toggle between pages and stumbled upon this Leapfrog one. It has a great clear picture for both cameras and the nightlight is a great addition. The battery life seems average- nothing to write home about. We’ve had no issues with connectivity in our average size home. We wish we would have just bought this system when we had our first, knowing we’d have a second eventually rather than spend $150 on a one camera system that requires a $100 additional camera and doesn’t show both cameras on the screen. Everything is great about this product except for one thing. The fps is awful. It's fps is so low you can't see things like the baby breathing, which is a huge negative. Even when they baby moves its real choppy and blurry. Other than that though it works great.

This is our FOURTH baby monitor that we have purchased on Amazon, and I can finally say that we found one that works great and is an excellent value. The first two baby monitors that we purchased were made by "Good Baby" and "Eufy" had problems were they FROZE in the middle of the night. Our baby was crying hysterically for who knows how long, because the audio was stopped, and the video was frozen on these two old monitors from Amazon. Have to returning those, the next monitor we got was the "infant optics pro" monitor, which cost $200, and has issues with video quality, as well as with the temperature reading. It definitely was not worth $200... Finally, we purchased this monitor by LeapFrog. This is a well-built monitor, with an excellent camera, which you can control remotely. There's also a color night vision, which really is just a low light camera, so if it's too dark it doesn't work, but either way, if using that camera or the regular night vision, the video quality is crisp and clear. This monitor also has the best range out of all the monitors we tried. Our house is old and has lead in the walls, but this monitor is able to get past that better than any of the others that we tried. There are LEDs that light up on the side when the baby is cry, so you can see the crying even if your audio is low and the LCD screen is turned off. The temperature monitor is accurate to a 10th of a degree, which is the best we found out of any of the monitors, and also, a humidity meter is shown as well. The few minor shortcomings of this monitor are in my opinion related to the volume control. To adjust the volume, you first have to press a separate volume button, then press up and down on some arrow keys that normally control the camera position. I just wish that there were dedicated up and down volume buttons. Secondly, when the screen is off, and the volume is mute completely, there's no indication via LEDs or any other feature to remind you that the monitor is muted, aside from when the baby is crying and those LEDs light up on the side. Aside from these minor issues, this is an excellent baby monitor, and after testing several others that are very popular on Amazon, I would recommend this to anybody to monitor their baby. ... show more

I have two year old twins and this camera has been amazing! We got it as our other one broke and I wish we’d gotten it earlier. The wide angle means I can see the whole room at once so no more panning to try and see what they’re up to when they’re refusing a nap. The battery life is impressive, I take it off charge at nap time which is noonish and it lasts the rest of the day with no issue at all. I then plug it back in overnight. I first bought this unit for my son when his old monitor died. We were blown away by it. The screen is huge, great image quality, sound is great and filters out the white noise machine. Range is really nice as well. We sleep on the main floor and he is upstairs, but the quality is always clear. Best monitor we have had by far. So when my daughter was born, we obviously bought a second one, thinking it was a sure thing. It was not a sure thing. This second monitor’s screen is blurry and harder to see at night. The sound quality is still there. However, my biggest complaint is that it started malfunctioning. The night light turns on by itself and flashes until I restart the screen. This means in the middle of the night, my baby wakes up to a flashing light above her head, and she is not a huge fan of it. It’s also super creepy to walk in her dark room and see it flashing. Nope. I really don’t like it. Bought a new monitor for her today after using this one for 4 days. We have had my son’s for 9 months and no issues. ... show more
