I like the fact this is reusable and there's no waste. The lighter functions just fine and is easy to use. Just understand that the electrical arc style has limitations, mostly in regards to reach and angle between the lighter and whatever you're trying to light. There must be direct contact with the face of the lighter. In contrast with a butane lighter, you can't direct a flame down or at an angle (think lighting a BBQ or a propane flame). Easy enough fix is to light a stick or something else on fire first, and then use it to push into whatever you intend to light.

I ordered this product for my outdoors-obsessed husband as part of his birthday gift. He thought it was a really unique gift idea and had never seen something like this before. What was really helpful was that it came with a bit of charge so we could test it right out of the box. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the photo makes it look a little bit bigger than it actually is. It fits in the palm of your hand; maybe a bit bigger than a Zippo lighter. It seems to hold charge pretty well, too! Would definitely order again as a gift for others!

I bought this lighter around the 4th of July to light off fireworks and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately the “flame” is to small to light a smoke/Joint. It’s not impossible, but it is very difficult. You have to light one side of it. other than that great product I would recommend.

Lite the item outside in the wind and it caught the paper on fire for the campsite woodpile. So it definitely works in the wind. Giving to my son for Christmas. He goes duck hunting and fishing and has overnight stays in a tent so this will be a great gift!

This thing is awesome. The plasma burns hotter than matches or butane and lights stuff quickly. The charge lasts an incredibly long time (for me), and it charges on USB everyone has. I'd had other 'electronic' lighters, all the way back to the 1980's when it had wires that would heat up, glowing red. If you immediately put it in your pocket right after use, your pocket would burn. This one, with the vertical double arc, works great. It is completely inside the protective waterproof case, and you can stick things through (like incense). Can't do that on my dual horizontal arc lighter.
