My plants love this light I thought they were healthy but just after 48 hrs they have dramatically increased in beauty. I do the 12 hr so it comes on at 7am and then off at 7pm. The first time you have to plug it in and in order for it to come on itself it has to be plugged in straight to the plug don’t use the Alexa plug I have mine plugged straight in to the outlet you can also use surge protector. Set to the height you want, set light where it gets all plants, then at the time you want turn on then hit the timer button 3x’s and it will be on 12h and then after that your done it will come on and off itself
