This is my 2nd light and I love it..My first one I bought two years ago, I run it every winter and it's still going strong. It keeps my 4 big pepper plants alive and still flowering with 1 light. Slow but can you imagine if I had two for them! No need to buy fancy expensive lights. Doesn't get hot and release the heat on the plant. Which matters unless you want to burn your plants. I like the stand but you can also opt to use zip ties to attach to something else. Yes it's top heavy but I think you just need to find the right position. My other light is keeping my monstera thriving during the gloomy winter and already I have 3 new leaves. I didn't buy the timer version because I already have timers for my outlets or smart plugs. So, for reference I purchased the single head without timer since I bypass most grow light timers and use my own. To be honest these are not my favorite lights but I’m still grateful to have it. It should be noted that the single head option is a completely different head than the dual or triple head lamps. I feel the single head option is brighter and a better quality light in general but don’t go thinking that if you loved the single head that the dual or triple is the same because it’s not. Just putting that out there. So, things I love about this lamp are the brightness and ease of use. My monstera put out 2 new leaves in a little over two weeks with just this light as it’s light source since I had it in the bathroom in quarantine at the time. So the plant had no other light( natural or otherwise, this was it.) and it still thrived under this light 12 hours a day. It should be noted that the single head option is very pink in color, this means its putting out more red light for fruiting and flowering plants though most of my plants are foliage plants which benefit less from the red and more from the blue light. However, it still puts out plenty of what it needs for a Monstera deliciosa. I was skeptical at first due to the pink glow but I was proven wrong and very pleasantly surprised by how effective it was. Something to keep in mind is that if you are doing seedlings they will not be able to be if from the red light and require significantly more blue light than what I believe this light can produce and thus, would likely struggle and I would chose another light. All that being said, for the price and how bright it is, I really like this light and would recommend it. I do wish that you could purchase this light individually without the tripod as a purchasing option because I prefer to hang this lamp and it would be less wasteful and more economical if I could purchase it as just the lamp with the hardware to hang it from the start. Maybe they will consider doing so in the future? The tripod itself is decent for the price but certainly not the most stable. If you just set it up and forget it then its fine but don’t move it around a lot and I’d keep it away from children and pets. On that note, always keep grow lights away from children, do not look directly into this lamp when it’s on and I’d honestly recommend you stay out of the room entirely when in use unless you have the proper UV glasses. 5 stars for grow light effectiveness 2.5 stars for longevity I am really not a very good plant owner, and my poor jade plant has suffered the consequences more than once. The most recent challenge was when I moved to a new place with windows only on the eastern and northern side of the rental. After the lack of light (and an incompetent owner, not gonna lie) almost killed it for the third time, I purchased this grow light November 2022. My jade perked up almost immediately and within a week or two it had new leaf buds. 6 months later (second pic is from Apeil 2023) it has expanded from two branches to five, one of which has a new root bundle. The light doesn't get too hot, either - there's some heat coming off it but never so much I wasn't comfortable leaving it on while I was at work during the day. The only down side is the light itself died after using it during daylight hours all winter. I live in Wisconsin, so our winter days are very short, which gives the lamp maybe 1500 running hours before the Led light panel "burned out". I am not a big fan of onetime-use items, and unfortunately I have been able to locate a replacement panel, so I will likely be looking elsewhere for a new grow light with replaceable bulbs. ... show more

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this grow light. For the past two years I started my vegetable garden plants inside without a grow light, but was disappointed with the relatively short size (~8”) of the seedlings. After researching all the options from a single grow light bulb up to the large, expensive arrays I thought I would give the LBW Grow Light with Stand. Well, I am pleasantly surprised. It puts out a nice bright light level, though obviously only over a relatively small area. And I selected a tripod style light only so I didn’t have to work out a fixture for hanging it. But I didn’t expect to be needing the variable height. Well, now that it has finally gotten warm here in the northeast, I need to get my tomato plants into the garden. They have reached 2 feet tall with the tallest one actually beginning to flower. This light does NOT have variable light setting, just a simple on/off switch. I choose it for that reason as well. I have been using it with a basic wall outlet light timer and that arrangement has been working very well. Bottom line – I have no complaints and have found it well worth the money. I have only used it for ~2 months so I can’t speak for the light’s reliability. ... show more
