The hammock was purchased as a birthay gift for my boyfriend. When it arrived, the box it was shipped in was damaged, ripped and completely opened on one end. I reached out to the company with a photo. They were very quick to reply and asked that I open the box and assemble the hammock to check that it was not missing any parts. I easily put it together and there were no issues. We've had this for a week now. The 1st few days it was used quite a bit as we were having quite a warm spell for NH in early April. The quilted blanket topper is a great addition - no rope indentations on our skin! Something I hadn't even thought of. We've decided that when it's not in use we're going to break it down and keep inside. It's super easy to set up. My daughter received this as a Christmas gift. We JUST got a chance to put it up as we have been having snow into April, as are so many other parts of the country. The snow is finally gone. The hammock came out of the box. The metal stand came rusted along the edge. I suppose it could be sanded and sprayed with a Rustoleum. Also, the stand is a little bit unstable and rocks a bit while my daughter is in the hammock and swaying. But the pad and hammock itself are pretty nice. I really bought it for the hammock and not the stand for that price, so it was a good deal with a stand as a bonus. My daughter gives it four stars. I give it 3. But I cannot complain for that price. I didn't see any better-rated ones out there, even for more money. Even the Bean one or another popular brand. ... show more

IG worthy hammock when combined with some string lights and plants… Not many parts so it was fairly straightforward to assemble. The hardest part was hooking the other part of the hammock. I think this was due to it being new, the tension was strong but it finally hooked after a few tries…. Great way to relax the yard, we tried it with 2 people and it worked well ... show more

I was looking to purchase a hammock for my yard. Initially I wanted to go with one of those wood stands as they look nice but space wise they are huge hogs. So after much research I decided on this one. The metal frame snaps together quickly and it was 15 minutes from box open to cleanup. The pillow makes a big difference. The rope hammock allows air to circulate around you and forms to you. I haven’t tried the pad yet but can see this being another benefit in cooler weather. Not for Florida warm weather for sure. Not sure how it will stand up to the Florida elements but I’m very happy with this purchase so far. Updated. I received this hammock on May 3. I love it but it it already showing signs of rust and it’s not even been outside a month nor has rainy season started here yet. Very disappointed. ... show more

It came almost as if it was used and returned. The paint was chipped in several places and there was rust and rust water stain everywhere.

I absolutely love this hammock! I have had it for about 2 weeks now, but wanted to wait and write my review because I had a small issue within the first few minutes of using it. One of the pieces of rope came undone so I feared the entire thing would fall apart after continuing to use it. I was able to tie it/knot it really good and it’s been fine since so fingers crossed! The hammock is super comfy, I could easily fall asleep in it. I haven’t used it with the pad on yet because I’ve read it gets pretty warm with that one so I’m waiting to use that when the weather cools a bit. I like it just how it is with the ropes exposed though! ... show more

Comfort is good. Added padding is very useful to add comfort. The pad seems a little too big, but is workable though. Being in Alaska, it is in a colder climate. It got rained on and the wood slightly changed color and the pad takes a bit to dry. My 6’5” tall son laid on it with no problem as well as myself. It also held the weight with no issues. I got this hammock to take up to my Grandparents Lake cabin. I used it almost every single weekend this past summer. The whole structure just snaps together. The black end caps don't stay in well, but they aren't structurally necessary. The quilt ties to the wood bars, and does not slide off. It stays put threw getting on and off, dogs jumping on the hammock and then flipping over like they are auditioning for Air Buddies: Trampoline Park.
