Over the years I have replaced my irons for hybrids except for the 8 and 9 iron. The two irons that I have lost distance recently. Over the past two years I have purchased PXG clubs to include the 3-7 hybrids. Had an issue finding 8 and 9 hybrids. The other day looking for something else, saw an Internet add for hybrids to include 8 and 9 hybrids. That brand was too expensive, so I did a search on Amazon and found the Lazrus Brand hybrids at a very reasonable price. I bought just the 8 hybrid and received it in time for my lesson yesterday. Neither myself or my instructor could believe how high and far I was hitting the club. The feel I felt after a good hit was comparable to any current and past hybrids I have owned. First thing I did when I came home was to order the 9 Hybrid. I would give more stars if I could based on the quality and price of the clubs. Everything I have to say about these clubs is good. I find that I hit these straighter and much farther (two clubs farther) than regular irons. I have golfed for 50 years, so I have had a lot of different clubs and I believe these are the best I have had as far as length of shot, distance and accuracy. These hybrids send the ball high and long. They don't put spin on the ball like standard irons do, but they send the ball so high it is pretty much coming straight down onto the green anyway, so you can land a shot on the green and it will hold. It took me a little while to get used to them, but now I am very comfortable swinging them. I teed off on a 145 yard par 3 with the hybrid pitching wedge a couple of weeks ago and scored my second hole in one. I have always bought premium brand name irons in the past and paid a LOT of money for them over the years, so to find these clubs that play so well and are so affordable is a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend these for almost all golfers, but they might not be a good fit for very low handicappers who work the ball a lot. I have found draws and hooks to be easy, but fades not easy at all. ... show more

I started golfing again after a 20 + year hiatus. I've never been a great iron hitter, although I did okay with my fairway woods. I was about to give up. I saw the Lazrus Hybrid Irons, and thought I'd give them a try. I purchased a 7 hybrid iron, and took it to the driving range. To my surprise, I was able to make solid contact with ease. The Lazrus Hybrid clubs have completely changed the way I feel about golf. I've since purchased several additional clubs, and have been golfing much better than expected. This club was part of a process I started in finding hybrids to replace my forged irons that my age seems to be showing through. This club is very solid and it is weighted well. I’ve hit primary solid shots with it’s smooth finished club head then not. It does not come with a club head cover.

I have a 15° Cleveland halo xl fairway wood that I sometimes struggle to hit. Bought the Lazrus 15° hybrid to see if I could use it as a substitute. On the pro side, the club is easy to hit and seems high quality. I was getting a little bit less distance from the hybrid then I was for my 3 wood, which seems logical given the 3 wood has a longer shaft. But I was definitely having more accuracy or less dispersion from the target line. Given the low price and that I’m happy with the 15° hybrid I’ve went ahead and purchased the 12° hybrid to see if that will make up the distance loss. It looks like Amazon doesn’t carry the 12° hybrid so I had to get that directly on the Lazrus website. Plus the 12° hybrid could also serve as a driving club on tight fairways. ... show more
