Great hammock, love it! I have been looking for a replacement hammock for our old cloth hammock and stumbled across this product and immediately bought it. The product description promised two hardwood spreaders which would be able to hold up the hammock and soft handcrafted ropes. The wooden spreaders did feel like they were good quality upon inspection and seem very sturdy. The ropes are nice and thick and do not hurt at all when I am laying down on the hammock. They are nicely interwoven and make a tight net, so you do not have to be scared to fall through. The hammock also can hold up two persons just like promised and it does not even feel like a too tight fit. For the installation we decided to also get a hammock stand which is sadly not included in the package, but for the price totally understandable. The installation of the hammock was totally easy with the stand, and we had it done in a couple of minutes. I think the installation of the hammock would have been slightly more complicated if we would have done it with trees, but with the hammock stand it was no problem at all. The magazine bag and the cup holder that are included in the package are also a great addition to the set and just make it a lot more comfortable to relax and be able to get a magazine without moving. For now, the hammock has been holding up very well outside, but I would absolutely recommend getting the hammock inside during bad weather to make sure it will last longer. I really enjoy this hammock and would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the usual cloth hammock which get worn out really quickly and also dirty. A great product for a great price!

attractive and comfortable
It's a very nice hammock. It is MUCH shorter than previous hammocks we have had. My partner is 6'1" and just barely fits.

This is soft, fluffy, thin yarn - NOT rope!!!

The rope is way too stretchy and probably won't last a summer season. I'm 100lbs and have to raise it so high on the frame it's up to my chest just so I can sit on it without being 6 inches from the ground. It feels so soft with its 1/4 inch yarn that you can squeeze flat between your fingers. My old rope piece lasted many years because it was actually rope, this is soft yarn, NOT rope. Sad part is this appears to the norm across the board with these hammocks, so no point in returning it when garbage is the only thing on the market.

Love the detachable pad!

I received the hammock, with detachable pad and pillow, last weekend and immediately replaced my old hammock with hit. It fit perfectly on our existing stand (12ft), with room on the chain to raise or lower it as needed. I really like the material of this pad - it's not as slippery as my old one, which was nylon. This feels more cotton-like. We had a nasty storm the day after I put it out (so excuse all of the debris), but after shaking off the leaves and twigs, it still looks new. The hammock itself is a softer rope than my previous one, so it's more comfortable. I do wonder if it will stretch out faster? Time will tell. Overall, I think it'll be a great addition to our pool area and I can see my family enjoying throughout the year.

For the most part, this hammock was great -- very comfortable, looked great. However, after purchasing in April, nine of the ropes have frayed and broken by mid-September. This is at a house we only use on weekends, so it has been used fairly lightly. Update: The company refunded my purchase without any issues. Upping to 3 stars based on this very good customer service.
