This is the first roller blind I've owned as I'm typically not a fan of the look, however, I'm so glad I got this. It was easy to install, fit perfectly, and works well. I measured my window (46.75 inches) and ordered the closest size smaller than the measurement (46.5inches) and it fit with just barely an 1/8th inch to spare on either side of the frame. The directions for install were a little lacking. There was no indication of where to install the brackets, so I brought them in about 6 inches from the edge thinking it would hold up the center better, considering the shade is over 46 inches long, and the ends now sag slightly. If I were to do it again, I'd install the brackets 4 inches from the outside edge. The directions do tell you to attach the plastic pull tab to the shade before installing it and that is important. I didn't do that and had to take it down, attach the plastic pull tab and then reinstall. There was no way to get the shade to come down and no way to attach it after installing it. My kitchen window faces west and the sun comes blaring in during the afternoon. I wanted an option that was unobtrusive and nearly disappears when not in use and this fit the bill perfectly. Now I can just pull the shade down during the hot times of the day, then pop it back up and it's like it's not even there. My only complaint is the brackets that hold the shade are silver and you can see them. They should come with white brackets. All in all though, I'm very happy with this. ... show more

So I've never used this type of blinds where you just pull it up and down like a projector screen, but I'm definitely a fan now! I opted to use the old holes from my kitchen window's previous blinds to screw in the new holes, and the whole unit simply snapped right into it snugly. My unit does have a few pinholes in the material near the bottom, but that's obviously not going to affect the functionality for me. It's a little expensive but I would recommend it. ... show more
