This review is for the LazBlinds No Drill Cordless Pleated Shades with Suction Cups Light Filtering Top Down Bottom Up Pleated Blinds for Window Glass. I got mine for a west facing sliding kitchen window that has a vinyl frame. This window is directly over the sink and the sun is blinding at dinner time. We've not installed other types of blinds because the space is narrow, between two cabinets, with no space between the window molding and the cabinets. Because we open this window frequently, I knew we could not put up this blind by sticking the suction cups on the window itself. However, I thought that the suction cups should stick to the wide vinyl molding. The suction cups are about 1.25 inches wide, so unfortunately I couldn't stick them on the top molding, which was narrower. But the blind still looks great when stuck to the side moldings. Also, the cups don't show on the outside. I thought about trying blinds like this out for the stationary section of my front window. But the suction cups would show and I think this needs to be considered for windows that are so visible from outside. Although the blind "fabric" (which is more like a heavy textured paper) is white and rather thin, it does the trick to block the bright sunlight without making the work area dark, so it functions as I wanted it to. I wouldn't want to put it in a location that would be exposed to pets or kids that might rip the fabric, or in a dusty environment because I don't think they can be cleaned. Putting up the blinds was not quite as simple as expected, and the instructions are very minimal. It would be easiest with two people if you have to install it over a sink like I did, or if you got a wider version -- you'd want to clamp down the suction cup on one side while someone held up the other end. I removed the bottom two cups by just unscrewing the cup portion. The blinds go up and down with a gentle push or pull and don't need the bottom cups to hold the blind in place at the level you desire. However, the bolts themselves cannot be removed from the channels and are an inch long. Take this clearance distance into consideration when deciding where to install these blinds. Also be careful loosening the cups (via the bolts and a nut and washer) to move them in the channels, as the clamps for the cups can be awkward to push down if the cups get swiveled in the wrong direction. The metal channels themselves are thin metal and can be easily scratched or bent if you use pliers. Even though the blind is quite lightweight, one end fell down 3 times the first 12 hours even though the molding was clean. I moistened it very slightly and it has now held for 2 days -- but I moved all breakable items away from it for the time being. I presume it would stick better to glass. This is an interesting product that can solve problems -- at least temporarily!

The blinds are really pretty and appear well made. Unfortunately the suction cups at the top do not reach a recessed upper window. The only windows these could work on would be ones that don't open. They don't work on the typical two pane windows that slide open. It's a shame because they are otherwise great looking and I wish I could use them. If they redid them to have the posts a little over twice the current length they would be great

Ok, these blinds are actually super cool. Our living room window is directly across from the TV, and there's always a glare. The wall around the window is cinder block, so screwing anything into it is always a huge pain, so these no-drill blinds were appealing. They are lightweight and we're super easy to "install". I just cleaned the window with some spray, stuck them in place, and pulled up the levers on the suction cups. That was about 10 days ago, and they haven't slipped at all (I wanted to wait to leave a review to make sure they stayed put). They filter the light nicely and look lovely. They even fit perfectly on the window despite the uneven windows (they are the side-sliding tall windows, so one side is more recessed than the other). Very impressed.

Blinds are well constructed, they raise and lower with ease, and do a great job filtering light while helping to down the room. That said, the major feature of these blinds sadly do not work. I'm talking about the suction cups. Utterly useless. I tried several times over the course of a week to get these to adhere and eventually just gave up. I ended up attaching hooks to these and hanging the blinds on the curtain rod on my french door. Two main issues I had with the blinds: glass was thoroughly cleaned with glass clean and allowed to dry before suction cups attached. The cups were never touched with my bare fingers. Initially only one suction cup (top left) stuck, the right just would not stick. After several attempts even the left one stopped sticking too, I cleaned the glass again, wiped the suction cups with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and any oil - nothing. The second issue is how the suction cups are positioned. One side the suction cups were placed in the perfect position for my door, the other (bottom) side though the suction cups were at the edges of the base so would not align. I attempted to loosen the bolts holding them in place so I could better position them - would not budge no amount of force or WD40 could get those to budge. The end result was I had two "functional" suction cups to hold the blinds up and those wouldn't adhere to the glass. While I did eventually get the blinds up, it was by rigging a workaround so I can't fully recommend these because if you're wanting them for the suction cups, as I did, that feature doesn't work.

4 stars**** because I have trouble keeping the bottom 2 suctions to stay stuck. Top 2 suction cups are strong and sturdy and hold the weight of blind. Bottom cups are just the same material so I'm thinking #1, something I'm not doing right or #2, just gravity when blind fully extended. This is not a black out blind, lets diffused light through but can't see through it. Material is the cellular, cottony type you need to brush off eventually. What I really like is the movability...Summer use for buffeting bright sun whether on a slider or window. Winter use, bright light and insulating to a degree. Perfect for me and the bottom hanging unsecured is actually not a problem. If I raise to shorter, it stays secured.
