Very sturdy stainless steel rake that is weighted just right for leveling sand by simply pulling across my bermuda yard in multiple directions. The rake does all the work and spreads the sand “automatically” to all the low spots. No need to rake back and forth to get good leveling. The extra long handle offers super leverage for “dragging”. I found it works best by first broadcasting sand to yard with shovel, as compared to making small piles, and then dragging rake across broadcast sand in multiple directions (perpendicular, diagonal). Three of my neighbors, after seeing my success, all borrowed the rake for their yard leveling.

Very sturdy rake with nice long three piece handle. All good materials. Only thing I would change would be for the corners to be rounded instead of square as the square corners seem to dig into the sand when dragging.

I looked at several different manufacturers before settling on this one. I was very worried that the handle would be flimsy and end up where the sections screw into each other. I can promise you that is never going to happen with this thing. it is solid and heavy. In spreading compost bits due jump between the slats and get caught in the little trays, but it doesn’t slow down progress and it’s very easy to flip the accumulation of stuff out onto the lawn. It pivots very well and the hand is long enough that you don’t have to put a lot of effort into moving it. I initially thought about buying one that was wider, but I am very glad I didn’t. Enjoy!
