  • Smooth, Creamy Espresso Blend with Excellent Value
Flavor Name: Super Crema Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I am very pleased with the Lavazza Super Crema Whole Bean Coffee. Shipping was prompt, and the bag arrived well-packaged and sealed tightly, preserving freshness. The beans were intact, with no signs of damage or staleness, which is always important for whole-bean coffee. In terms of product quality, this blend stands out. It’s a medium espresso roast combining Arabica and Robusta beans, delivering a smooth, balanced cup with a creamy texture and mild intensity. The flavor profile is well-rounded, with subtle notes of hazelnut and brown sugar, giving it a slightly sweet and approachable taste. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Whether brewed as espresso, in a moka pot, or even as drip coffee, it produces a rich crema and a full-bodied flavor without bitterness. It’s especially well-suited for daily use because it’s flavorful but not overpowering. From a value standpoint, this coffee offers excellent performance for the price. The 2.2 lb bag lasts a long time, and its quality rivals that of more expensive specialty beans. It’s a reliable go-to option for anyone who enjoys a smooth, café-style espresso at home. Overall, this is a well-balanced, versatile coffee with great flavor and consistency. I would confidently recommend it to both casual coffee drinkers and espresso enthusiasts looking for a dependable, high-quality blend. ... show more

  • Best espresso beans I've ever used
Flavor Name: Super Crema Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
This is it. This is the one. I've tried probably 20 different brands and keep coming back to this. The crema is insane - thick and rich every single shot. Tastes smooth, not bitter at all, and has this perfect balance that works straight or in a latte. I go through a bag every two weeks and it's consistent every time. No weird shots, no sour pulls, just good espresso. Yeah it costs more than the cheap stuff but it's worth every penny. My morning espresso is the best part of my day now. Already have another bag waiting when this one runs out. Can't say enough good things about it. ... show more

  • Very solid everyday espresso beans
Flavor Name: Super Crema Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
These have been a dependable everyday bean for me in a De’Longhi Magnifica Plus, mainly for espresso, Americanos, and Doppios. This bag arrived about five weeks after the manufacturing date, which I think is a good freshness window for coffee ordered through Amazon. The aroma was strong when I opened it, and the beans tasted fresh, with good crema and none of the flat or stale character you sometimes get from older bags. I still buy more premium beans from roasters like Onyx and S&W, but these are my default daily beans because they’re affordable and consistently good. Once opened, I divide the bag into roughly 250g portions, vacuum-seal them, freeze some for longer-term storage, and keep the rest for regular use, adding one portion to the hopper as needed. ... show more

  • Every bag I try, I'll update this review.
Flavor Name: Super Crema Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I'm a home-barista, and I own a Breville Barista Pro. It's a great home espresso machine. I drink my espresso straight, or as iced-coffee in the summer and lattés when it's cold. That's the context. Now, how do I like these coffees? In general, I've found Lavazza coffees to be good in quality and arrive fresh and ready to brew. The company packs their coffee tightly and with the oxygen in the bag replaced by nitrogen. Some people wonder about where to find the "roasted-on" date on the bag, but for this particular packaging method, the "best-by" date is an appropriate measure. 1. October 2022, Barista Gran Crema: It's marketed as floral, with notes of baked-goods and honey. I very much agree with the baked-goods and honey. Acidity is low and well-balanced by the deep full-city roast. More on the "intense" side of the scale (as Lavazza puts it), it tolerates milk extremely well because its interesting and moderately complex profile is able to cut through the sweetness of the milk so well. Enjoyable and a great value for the money. I highly recommend latté lovers try this out. 2. January 2023, Super Crema: It's marketed as a medium roast with notes of hazelnut and brown or cane sugar. It's well known among the coffee shop community and I could instantly see why. It's a very well-balanced and inoffensive blend. Certainly another full-city roast, it's slightly earthy on the sip, and then nutty and slightly oaky on the finish. Here's the truth about this blend: It's hard to hate it or love it the same way few people hate or love a Toyota Corolla. It's just really good at doing the job for a fair price, and it does nothing that will surprise you. Enjoy it however you want, it's not bad at anything. It might actually remind you of a coffee you grabbed at a cafe lately. 3. February 2023, Crema E Aroma: It’s marketed as a medium roast with notes of chocolate. And if that was all you knew about this blend, you could almost write this review yourself. You can sum this coffee up in a few words: creamy, intense and chocolatey- a testament to the heavy proportion of robusta coffee beans in this blend. It’s also very rich and full of mouthfeel. Lavazza says it's made to be had with milk, but you still might find the espresso overpowering the dairy a bit. Lowering the dose helped me find a good balance between coffee and milk. Conclusion: Crema E Aroma fills a niche. Not all coffee needs to be delicate and complex. There’s absolutely a place for an intense, rich latté. Personally, I see it as more of a change-of-pace option for me rather than a daily driver. 4. If you found this review helpful, let me know and I'll keep adding to this as I try out more varieties from this brand. ... show more

  • Great flavor profile and inexpensive for what you get
Flavor Name: Super Crema Size: 2.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I tend to buy local and fresh and local but thought i'd give this a try as it is well known for a quality espresso shot. I was not disappointed, it lives up to it's name and produces a nice head of crema and it produces excellent espresso, bold but not oily which is perfect for semi-automatic machines. My Rancillio Silvia is manual but I don't plug my Ranciallio Rocky grinder by sticking with beans compatible with semi-automatic. When I come across others that appear to oily, I run them through my burr coffee grinder instead and make drip coffee instead. I normally opt for local coffee shop beans but they have been out recently of the origins I prefer so thought i'd try something different. I wasn't disappointed after a month of espresso pulls so would recommend this product and the price is right. ... show more
