The lava lamp is great!! PSA: to anyone who says that the liquid inside is murky and you can’t see the bubbles you just have to run it 2-3 times and the liquid clears up!!! Your item is NOT defective. All of the teeny tiny wax particles in the liquid just need to melt fully and then the liquid becomes clear. It takes multiple times running the lamp to do so. I am at about.10-12 hours now and it’s starting to become completely clear inside. The first time I turned it on it was completely cloudy. Bought 2 lava lamps for my kids, one came in dented, the other had a "lava" malfunction to where the goo wasn't separating the way it was supposed to, after doing a 2 week test recommended to me by customer service, nothing changed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arrived broken, but excellent customer service I ordered this lava lamp because I love the classic retro look and wanted something relaxing for my desk. Unfortunately, when the package arrived the glass globe was completely shattered inside the box. It appeared to have been damaged during shipping. I contacted customer service right away, and this is where the experience really improved. They responded quickly and handled the situation professionally. The process was easy, and they made sure the issue was taken care of without any hassle. From what I could see before unpacking the broken globe, the base felt sturdy and well-made, and the overall design looked exactly like the photos. The packaging itself looked decent, so the damage likely happened during transit rather than being a product defect. What I liked: • Classic lava lamp design • Solid-feeling base • Fast and helpful customer support What could be improved: • Packaging protection for the glass globe could be better to prevent shipping damage While it was disappointing to receive a broken item, the quick and helpful response from customer service made a big difference. Works great. We have been keeping them on for 8 to 12 hours a day and this one has the clearest of the liquids. Very nice. We also bought the blue one. A little less clear than the pink ones and can’t stay on quite as long.

The lamp is beautiful, but the bulb only worked for two days before it stopped working. I also can’t find a replacement in my country. I wish it had come with a spare bulb.

I saw alot of reviews that said it didn’t work. I thought this was the case with ours but after about 1 hour it started to work properly. I think just the first time using it it takes a while to start up. Hopefully this isn’t every time but still love it. The colors are beautiful. My 6 year old loves it! It does get hot to touch. Not burning but it is hot. Perfect gift. No timer just on off switch. ... show more

A bunch of reviews say this lamp is cloudy. And sure, you think: “Okay, maybe people are impatient or don’t know how lava lamps work.” and it makes sense, right? We live in the age of instant gratification and all. Nope. It depends on whether you got a good lamp… or one of the MANY defective ones. Mine arrived cloudy/milky and I followed the instructions exactly. I ran it for hours. I did multiple cool-down cycles. I gave it DAYS. And yes, the liquid got a little clearer… just enough to reveal the real problem: The wax is FULL of bubbles. Not a couple. A RIDICULOUS amount. The blobs literally look aerated, like someone whipped the wax like they were trying to make whipped cream in there. That’s not “shipping particles.” That’s a manufacturing defect and it's not hard to figure that out. I even emailed the company directly asking for a replacement globe, because clearly this one is defective. Their response was basically: “Cloudiness is normal, keep cycling it for 1–2 weeks… and if you're not happy return it to Amazon.” So just to be clear: the company does NOT help you. They're great if you want someone to repeat to what the box insert says. Reach out, they'll repeat it to you in a longer version. They just push you back to Amazon which is surprising Amazon allows it honestly. And here’s the part that matters: This company has been making lava lamps since 1965. That’s 61 years of producing the same basic product. If something stays relevant for 61 years, it’s because it’s basically a 5-star idea and people liked it a 5-star rate. So how does a product this simple and timeless end up sitting at 3.6 stars? Answer: quality control is non-existent and customer service doesn't exist. Some people get a good lamp (very few though it appears). Others get cloudy junk that they're little "helpful" booklet doesn't help. How cloudy? I can't see my fingers on the other side of the lamp through what? 3 inches of liquid? But don't worry, I'm sure it'll clear before the Universe itself ends, I'll be long gone but not the company's problem apparently. If you get a good one, great. But if you get a bad one like mine, don’t expect the company to make it right, they see it as Amazon's problem. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is what it does most of the time. Sometimes it works like it should. I have another from same brand bought at the same time, different colors, works perfectly. I tried swapping the bases and moving to different places in the room but still this one is mostly just two blobs in the middle. You get a rare three blobs in this video ;-) Colors aren’t quite what is seen in pics but I like the colors. ... show more
