LAVA is a great invention, whether you're a true musician or novice. App is great and necessary; it downloaded just fine. The tutorials on the app are well designed and easy to follow. There are also YouTube videos from LAVA that are helpful to see the instruments range of functions and capabilities. Lava performs all the sounds of guitar, base, piano, &drums. Lyrics with the songs to sing along using the app too. Like any instrument, the more you practice the better you'll get. I was amazed in just minutes I was enjoying playing a couple of popular songs using the preset modes available. You don't need to know how to play guitar or read music to use. Excellent customer service. I had a problem with the first instrument. I was contacted almost immediately after I texted the seller. They were more than helpful and very courteous. I had complained that this instrument is not easy to learn unless you purchase the lava Plus subscription. They were kind enough to give me a free 3-year subscription. Once I got that I was able to learn several songs very quickly. It's a lot of fun to sit there and play. It has so many different sounds and chord progressions. It's also a lot of fun just to sing along with the music and be able to play the chords with it. I love the compactness of it and it is very light. I can sing a little bit but I have no guitar knowledge. But with this guitar you don't need it It shows you every note to play along with the lyrics. I'm not saying that this guitar will teach you how to play a real guitar. But it may lead you to learn to play a real one and will be very helpful in the process. I highly recommend this lava genie for anyone that wants to how to sing and play. A big shout out to Ken Song and his management team for all their help.

I saw the Lava Genie in Jordan Rudess’s endorsement videos and I love the simplicity of the product. I like that it can be a fun gadget or you can use it for stage performance. In fact, I have used it in my church and it worked really well. Everyone was curious about it. I also like the fact that there are many dedicated church music presets in the Genie, and when I turned on the drums and bass, it really created a full band experience that attracts the crowd, something that I wasn’t able to do with a regular guitar. It’s more than a simple drum machine. The instruments can all align and there are verse and chorus sections you can control. If you’re already an advanced guitar player, that’s probably not for you. But if you play a bit of the guitar, or you want to experience different instruments, or if you want to have a full band backing up your vocal, this is the best thing and the only option in the market. Highly recommended.

This is probably one of the most underrated revolutionary products in years, and it’s definitely more than a guitar. I played the guitar in my 20s but haven’t picked it up again in decades. I was a bit skeptical until I saw somebody who has no musical background at all; she was able to play the Lava Genie within minutes. I have tried it, and it really works! The “guitar” is beautifully made, and everything in the box feels premium. The sound is loud and punchy, the options for instrument samples are infinite, and many of them sound very real. The electric guitar presets sound just like somebody playing an old Fender Stratocaster in front of you—it’s that good. It’s really a game changer, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone.

I wish I could give this guitar 10 stars!!! With arthritis developing in my hands and wrists over the years, my career as a classical guitarist (since my teens) seemed to have stalled as I entered my "adult" years. Enter Lava Genie and I am hooked!!! I am besotted with this purchase and feel as though I've even finally discovered that I might actually HAVE a VOICE. Shied away from singing all my life. Thought I was tone deaf. Now I'm "singing" and playing as if I've been doing it for many, many years. Even though I did study some piano and guitar music, this is just perfect for me entertaining myself, my fur-baby, our friends and family, without having to refresh my music theory or read music. For me, there're no cons with this device. Get it and enjoy music again!
