I tried buying the generic XLR cables. None of them worked. For just an additional $7 more get the original brand that’s compatible with the male XLR mic and the 1/4 in jack. I’m an audiophile and I know good from bad quality equipment. This is very good quality audio cable.

I wasnt sure if I had a bad mic or cable(that came with the PA I purchased) so I went this route instead to rule out the microphone. The cable's packaging, and overall quality is significantly better and worked without issue.
