Awesome Powder Foundation!!

I’m absolutely loving this powder foundation. I’ve never tried a powder foundation because I assumed there was no way it would work as well as liquid. Boy was I wrong. I put it on at 10am this morning. It’s now after 11pm and my makeup still looks fresh and as if I just put it on. It hasn’t worn off at all! Further, I have very oily skin and often apply powder several times a day. But I haven’t needed to apply powder even once today. Even my nose has remained oil free. I put it on dry at first, then put the other half on wet - but I didn’t really notice a difference either way, so I’ll probably apply it dry from now on. The coverage is awesome and gives an even, matte finish on my skin while lightly covering some sun spots I have on my face. And the color is a perfect match to my light, but slightly tanned skin. Today is the first time I’ve used it, but so far I am blown away and wish I’d tried it years ago. The price is a tad high if you’re on a budget, but it’s well worth it now that I’ve used it. Nice buildable coverage! Great for mature skin! Doesn’t accentuate fine lines!

Absolutely love this makeup! It is a good quality coverage and leaves your skin looking and feeling flawless. You can apply wet or dry. When I apply wet, I use a brush. It is not a “loose” powder, so there’s no mess even when using a brush. It provides nice buildable coverage.

This foundation doesn't settle into your fine lines or crease in your skin nice if you have mature skin this is the stuff you wanna use it's color match is right in skin feels like silk and it's blend ability is amazing very effective use her brush she makes for her foundations and you'll get the perfect amount of coverage I promise the brush is worth the extra investment it's not like other brushes it moves up and down and slides so you can have it poofy and get lighter coverage or slide it in a tighter brush and build the product up to a medium coverage from a light cover Can't say enough good things about this brand of make up lightweight good for the skin and the appearance of your skin covers imperfections like a filter here's a pic of me with it on and I actually have a really red face with a couple blemishes and you honestly can't tell at all! ... show more

I’ve been using the Laura Geller New York Baked Double Take Powder Foundation and overall I’d give it 4 stars. This is a quality powder foundation that delivers on its promise of buildable coverage — you can keep it light and natural or build it up to medium or full coverage depending on your needs. I like that it’s long-wearing with good shine control, and the matte finish holds up well throughout the day. It’s even sweat-resistant, which is a nice bonus. The compact is a generous size, making it great for travel. It comes with a dual-sided sponge — use the pink side dry for everyday medium coverage, and dampen the white side for maximum full coverage with a more flawless, perfected finish. I personally went in wanting a light coverage look and it delivered, though I did find it runs slightly light so I’ll try the next shade up. One con worth noting: it does not contain SPF, so you’ll want to apply a separate sunscreen underneath — especially important for mature skin. How to Apply: 1. Start with moisturized, primed skin 2. For light/medium coverage — use the pink sponge side dry, press and blend in circular motions 3. For full coverage — dampen the white sponge side, press firmly into skin and blend 4. This quality makeup replaces liquid foundation and power so it saves money, time and space. It doesn't come with a brush, I have a Laura Geller retractable one that works well, you can control how much makeup you apply by how far you extend the bristles. It is a full size product, it lasts longer than I expected. It has a good matte full coverage finish. It doesn't dry my skin, has a smooth soft texture, however if I put too much on wrinkles are noticeable. In other brands I can go with darker shades but I can't go darker than medium, when choosing color look at the model as opposed to the makeup color for a better match. A lot of good and there's a lot of not so good. It does cover. I am 73 and I have brown spots. I can't expect a quick rub to cover them, and I don't, but you have to put on several layers. When you put on several layers you look like something out of a'20s horror flick. It was on so thick that it went into every wrinkle and the lines were more pronounced than I'm used to. I was pleased with the color, please with the coverage basically except for I had to use too much. This would be great for photos because it's so matte and powdery. I have dry skin to start with and this just made it worse. I'm sure it will work for others but it wasn't great for me. I hope nobody got too close to me because it looks like you could take a fingernail and scrape it. I think it was a nice try from Laura to do a full coverage, we needed it because the other stuff is too thin, but now I don't think I will buy it again. As I look in the mirror it is showing wrinkles more than ever instead of just adding color and cover to my skin. By the way I am a print model and not generally filled with wrinkles or terrible skin, so I was hoping this would be the magic I needed. I'm afraid I will have to go back to my liquid that is much smoother and much lighter. I'm disappointed because I really hope this would be my go-to product but as I sit here in the mirror I can see that I look like Norma out of Sunset Boulevard with too much makeup. ... show more

Pleasantly surprised woman of color

It came perfectly packaged and sealed, in a timely fashion but I was greatly disappointed to find there was no dual sided applicator sponge in my compact. I wanted to try this product for a long time but couldn't make myself spend the money. I ended up ordering it for my 60th birthday. I'm not happy my package wasn't complete but I must be honest.. I tried it with a Kabuki brush as suggested in the advertisement and I found it to be amazing. I chose the deep color and it matched my skin perfectly! I first applied my primer then went for very light coverage, amazed that with barely a dusting it hid blemishes and minor imperfections. Eager to see what would happen, I applied a bit more for full coverage making sure I lightly dabbed fine lines and wrinkles per directions,even he terrible turkey waddle under my neck. The results are amazing! It is not heavy or cakey to me! Thank you for making me look 20 years younger on my birthday Laura Geller!
