Have only used it once but as a 52 yr old with dry skin, I’m pleasantly surprised that this powder didn’t look dry on me, dry out my skin or settle into lines and creases. I’ve only worn it once though because I chose the wrong color for my skin tone. A couple reviewers wrote that you could get away with wearing a few of the shades, so I chose based on that but it doesn’t work for me. I chose “Fair“ because for some reason, it was significantly cheaper than the other tones. And at these price points, I didn’t want to try a new foundation and dislike it. So, I thought with “Fair”, “Porcelain” and “Light” all having a similar color value (lightness), I’d be good. You can see in the pix that “Fair” is warmer (more orange) than “porcelain” and “light” but commenters have said it doesn’t matter. It does. I have cool undertones and “fair” made me very orange. And I only used the lightest touch and one layer- I didn’t build it up. “Porcelain” looks to be the same value but cooler-toned . I wanted to order “light”, which is between “fair” and “porcelain” in terms of warmth and coolness - it’s the most neutral. But “light” costs $8 more and “porcelain” costs $4 more than “fair” and like said, I didn’t want to pay $30-$34 for a product I was worried would be dry plus commenters said you could wear other tones and it would work with your coloring, so I trusted that. So now I’m stuck with this $26 product I can’t use. But I’m giving it 4 stars based on the wearability from the one time I wore it. Lovely coverage and it didn’t sink into my fine lines. Just know that it DOES matter what color you choose. And why is there such a vast difference in price between shades?? ... show more

For the most part, I like this makeup. I wish they made a few more colors. Porcelain is too light and Fair is a bit more orangish than my skin. Not orange, but I'm a bit more beige. But I've been using it. I like how easy it is to apply and it doesn't bring out wrinkles as much as most powders do. It's a very soft finish. I haven't worn it in cold weather yet, so we'll see. I might prefer a liquid foundation then. Comes off easily with a face wipe and hasn't irritated my skin at all. ... show more

I bought this here on Amazon to try it out, and for the first use, I applied a hydrating primer and let it set, then I took my kabuki brush and applied the Laura Geller baked balance in Brighton foundation. Oh my gosh! It’s so light and easy to use, and makes my skin look. Amazing! I am getting rid of all my other foundations and using this exclusively. I’m 65 now and I need to wear make up for my work with the public as an event coordinator/public relations person I have just one word- amazing!!! I have seen so many reviews for this, I finally gave in and tried it myself. I have used it for about 3 days now. I went with the porcelain color and I think it matches well. It comes compacted, but becomes a powder very quickly with the touch of the brush. I think I lose product into the edges of the container with every application. It is a sheer feeling. I apply this powder with a brush and it feels very light on the skin and not cakey at all. The coverage can be controlled with the brush but I have yet to use a sponge to apply it. I normally apply a tinted moisturizer first, and then after that is absorbed I will brush on a thin layer of this powder to finish. Seems to work for my slightly mature skin. ... show more

It is completely buildable. I normally made 2 passes over the face to get the coverage that I was satisfied with. The shade was darker than I like. I have a light to medium complexion. I’m really enjoying the ease and coverage of the foundation. I’m really glad I got it on sale because when it arrived the powder in the compact was smashed to pieces! It’s still usable but it gets everywhere and when you pay these kind of prices you definitely want to use every bit!

    • Such a natural glow

The product itself is a little loose so I need to be careful as I pick up the product or it will fly around. The looseness of the powder is one of the things that make it as nice as it is. At first I thought oh this is not going to cover enough, but I continued and found I did not need all the coverage I was using. I use the shade LIGHT and it is perfect. My skin is "mature" and this product makes it look so radiant in such a natural way. I have many dark spots from the Florida sun so I do concentrate on layering them with a small stiff bristle brush, but that is the charm of this makeup, whatever you see is so OK because the makeup looks so right. I am not use to such light coverage but once I apply my brows, blush and lipstick it is exactly what I wanted. I use the Loreal Glowtion beneath it, but it is just a choice of mine. I feel comfortable to suggest you try LAURA GELLER NEW YORK Award-Winning Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Powder Foundation. My skin shade is light leaning a little bit more to med.
