I love crafting so this is the perfect Christmas DIY for my new family! It was my baby’s first Christmas and I love the idea of making one of these every year until she is old enough to have her own tree and gift them to her! The ornament itself is great quality, already had a hole in it to put the string through for hanging. You can do multiple things, paint, marker, stain, I love all of the possibilities! And i dont think ill ever have to buy another pack since so many come in one!

The reviews are full of complaints about the cracks but we took the leap as that seems common on ALL of the wood slice options, no matter the brand. Our six kiddos painted these for teacher gifts and we only had two crack. The one pictured was the bigger of the two, the other only being about a quarter of an inch crack. Overall, we don’t feel like the cracks affect the quality of the ornament. The bark didn’t flake too much and they are an ideal thickness. Would buy again.

Out of 30 slices NO Cracking!! These are the best wood slices. I purchased another brand and after drying & sealing 1/2 cracked with large cracks. Dried these between cardboard for a few days, then sealed with polyurethane, painted the surface with primer & painted my design. Weeks later they are ALL perfect! Will only buy this brand in the future! They are Excellent! Don’t hesitate- buy them.

I bought these wood slices to paint as ornaments. The drilled holes are rough, not circular but I thought it would be ok once a ribbon was strung through - so I started painting and while letting them dry I heard a several popping noises. The wood slices were literally splitting apart while they were drying on my crafting table. The listing states “Wood barks may fall off in transit, but wood slices won't easily crack” I’d have to disagree. They crack on their own due to paint drying. Major flaw as they’re advertising them as paintable wood blanks. Disappointing product. 😫
